Sources say Hollywood agent Jim Toth — who the actress began dating earlier this year — has been shopping for the perfect engagement ring.

Jim was recently seen at several high-end jewelry stores in Hollywood.

“Reese wasn’t with him, because he wants it to be a surprise,” a source close to Jim told In Touch Weekly magazine.

“But he knows her style. The ring will be classic and beautiful, just like Reese herself.

“Jim wants the proposal to be unexpected. It will happen in the next few weeks.”

Reese — who dated Jake Gyllenhaal until 2009 — has two children with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, whom she was married to for seven years before their split in 2006.
