Carey Mulligan Won’t Get Too Skinny!

CAREY Mulligan insists she’ll never end up scarily skinny — because she refuses to bow to the pressures of Hollywood.
The actress — who’s currently dating her Wall Street costar Shia LaBeouf — says she wants to be healthy so she’ll have the energy to keep working hard.
“The thinnest I have ever been was after I had my appendix out, during the London run of The Seagull,” Carey said.
“I went down to 112 pounds and realized my brain doesn’t work when I’m that thin, so I can’t do my job.
“I never had that whole Hollywood pressure thing — I never said I wanted to be a lead actress; I never said I wanted to be a film actress. ”
“This need to trump everyone bewilders me, I’m only 25, I’m not better than anyone.”
Carey recently revealed that she had to play the “man parts” when she was at school.
“I went to an all-girls school and I was always slightly jealous of the girls who got to play the pretty ingénue parts and I had to be the boy,” she said earlier this year. “We didn’t kiss or anything.
“It is just that is how it is at all-girl boarding schools. There has always got to be someone who takes on the man parts. And it was always me.”
