JAY LENO CHANGES TIRE FOR CONAN O’BRIEN PRODUCTION ASSISTANT — REPORT

Jay LenonJAY Leno really is a Good Samaritan!

The chat show host spotted a damsel in distress looking helplessly at a flat tire while he was driving towards the Burbank studio where he shoots The Tonight Show.

So Leno — a former mechanic and car buff — stopped and changed the lady’s tire and she thanked him profusely — then fretted she’d probably be late for work.

According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, Jay then asked the woman where she worked.

The lady responded, “I’m a production assistant on…the new Conan O’Brien show.”

After an awkward pause, Jay said, “Well, tell Conan I’ll be watching!” and then waved goodbye!

    I used to work for Jay. And say what you will…Jay Leno IS a very nice guy. Believe it! I was fired form his show and still think so… what does that tell you!

    This is obviously a fake story planted by Leno’s image restoration crew. Frankly, the fact that their PR tactics have gotten this ridiculous show exactly how badly Leno’s image has been damaged by his backstabbing O’Brien.

    Vicky, so true, notice how this comes just a couple days after all the media reports that Leno’s ratings are worse than Conan’s was last year.
    Jashg, check out the video of Howard Stern on the topic, he claims some of his own bits and his own announcer John Malendez were ripped off his show.

    any day of the week .I can laugh at leno but never could laugh at any thing that comes from conans mouth. I cannot understand anyone who would want to give conan a job,unless the’re desperate.LENO is a very nice man and it shows in more ways than one.I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD QUIT BLAMING LENO FOR NBC S MESSES

    Jay Leno changed a tire. So what! The article even states that Leno did not know who she worked for until the tire was already changed. I guess we will never know if Leno would have still changed it or not. Maybe he just thought she was cute.

    Dont kno Jay but he can change my tire any day—and he probably would ………I m a 57 yr old retired business professional with a physical handicap who did my own tires for 40 yrs.

    I’m posting because personally I’ve had enough of the Jay Bashing. I’ve worked with enough Hollywood A-holes to know one when I see one. AND folks… Jay is GOOD guy period! Just look at the staff writers working in late night. How many minorities or woman do you see? Jay’s WAS the first and ONLY show to employ an African American writer and also gives opportunities to woman. No one in this town is perfect…but I would proudly stand by Jay Leno…cause ACTIONS speak LOUDER than words!

    I have liked Leno ever since first watching him years ago and seeing him have that same sort of head nod that Ronald Reagan used to have.
    Jay can be funny and often is but is rarely vulgar and for that he gets my nod. He carried on from the way Carson used to do the show and that routine has not changed much. So Leno is not copying anyone except the guy he replaced a long time ago.
    I watch some of the others but Jay Leno still leads the pack as far as I am concerned.

    I started watching Jay’s late night show when I was really young. I’ve loved the show and the man ever since. I enjoyed Conan when he was doing the late late show, but not when he came to the Late Night show. I don’t see how anyone can say that Jay backstabbed Conan. Jay doesn’t own NBC…shoot, I don’t know anyone who can say they’ve worked for a company and backstabbed their way into a spot…its still ultimately the corporation/company’s choice.

    And say what you will, until someone shows me proof that this guy IS an ass…I’ll keep on believing that he is just as good as his actions show. Listen to Adam Carolla talk about him and how cool Jay has been to him and his co-worker/buddy Donny.

    Tired of the Jay bashing, you don’t do all these great things to cover up being an asshole, an asshole doesn’t cover stuff up…look at Letterman, doesn’t talk to his guests before or after the show, slept around on his wife, screwed who knows how many interns/workers…I dont’ know the guy personally, but his actions speak for him…and he’s an asshat.
