MILEY Cyrus‘ parents are worried the teen star will follow in the footsteps of Lindsay Lohan!

Sources say Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus have lost control of the 17-year-old singer/actress and now fear she’s heading down a destructive path.

“At first Miley’s mom, Tish, got upset when people would tell her her daughter was being wild, but now she’s realizing it herself,” a Cyrus insider told the HollywoodLife website.

“We’re concerned for her. She’s 17-years-old, but is the one who makes the money and calls all the shots in the family. No one tells Miley no. And even if they did, she’s so charismatic that she’d convince them to change their minds.

“She’s a sweet girl at heart, but she’s starting to push the envelope.

“Between the fast-paced lifestyle and her new ‘image,’ everyone is saying that it’s just a matter of time before she ends up in trouble.

“We don’t want her to be the next Lindsay Lohan, but the odds are against her.”

I agree with Donna, she isn’t a slut, and even if she did end up like Brittany Spears, Brittany was the highest selling artist of the decade, and I would love to have a career just like her. As a parent of a daughter who was a huge fan, I personally feel cheated because it was us-the adults- whom spent all this money on this girl (tee shirts, dolls, cds. etc.) and she ends up with this adult image at so young. Well it’s too late now. She was spoiled rotten. And told she was so special. Her discipline should have been ongoing from the beginning. You just cannot expect her to listen now. From what I read, she even had her boy friend living with she and her family for awhile. I doubt very much they stayed in their own beds at night.
She is going to have to make her own mistakes and learn. She has little education, perhaps no emphasis was put on this aspect of her life. She could even get a judge to give her emancipation from her family. She is self supporting. And frankly I am surprised she hasn’t done it already.

@ Tex Wendellsson, Miley Cyrus IS NOT the “breadwinner” in her home. Yes, she’s worth $60-70 million, however, Billy Ray is worth $150 million; look it up! He’s not depending on Miley’s money. Like with all other underaged stars, Miley’s money is managed by a professional and not available to her parents. Under the law, most of her money is, in fact, protected from her parents–and from her–, not that they need it with all the money Billy Ray has made in his life. Also, the quotes from the uncited source have been making the rounds of gossip sites for the last month. They don’t sound accurate and are probably from someone who has little-to-no real insight. The fact that the “source” makes the same mistake as many of the comments here, claiming that Miley makes the money and therefore calls the shots in her household, prove that they don’t hold water on several counts. While her parents don’t control or have access to her money, they are her legal guardians and therefore must approve, at least for the next month, any of her decisions. So far, their daughter has not been seen taking drugs, drinking, smoking or doing any of the other dangerous behaviors that most teens her age do, so it seems like they’ve done their job of raising a level headed teen pretty well.
