EMMA ROBERTS: ‘MOVIES CHEER ME UP’

Saturday, October 9, 2010

Emma RobertsEMMA Roberts watches movies when she’s feeling depressed.

The teen actress — who’s the niece of Julia Roberts — says she puts on a DVD or heads to the theater if she needs cheering up.

“I always, well, see movies like comedies, or even movies — if they’re sad — at least make you feel like you’re not alone in that,” she said. “That’s always great. Also, just being around friends always cheers you up.

“With my friends, they’re always on the go and happy and all over the place, so that’s always fun. And I hang out with my little sister, she’s 9, and she’s always a lot of fun. I’ll play board games with her and go to the movies.”

Roberts recently revealed she almost quit acting to become a lawyer after watching Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde.

“I did have a moment of wanting to be a lawyer after seeing Legally Blonde,” she said.

“I was really serious about it but then I decided maybe I’ll just play one, one day, because that would be a lot less work.

“I also quite liked the idea of being a writer or a fashion designer but I think it’s best I stick to the acting.”

    Really? She likes movies that cheer her up? That’s great! Guess what? So do I. What a concept. Does that mean I can be just as popular or be a star like Roberts?

    Well, lets see;

    I like songs that make me dance. I really love a good book on a rainy day and especially in front of a fire. I also like kittens.

    I would be happy to share more of what I like that would probably be more interesting than Emma what’s her name.

    ANYBODY can suffer from depression whether they’re famous and rich or they’re obscure and poor.
