COURTENEY Cox‘s marriage to David Arquette is over — according to a new report.

TMZ says the couple — who have been married for 11 years and raise daughter Coco Riley together — have been separated for several months.

A source close to the estranged couple — who met on the set of Scream in 1995 — insist Courteney and David are “still friends” and maintain a business relationship with each other.

“There’s a real possibility they could get back together. It’s a work in progress,” said the insider.

Cox has previously admitted she and Arquette — who are currently costarring in the upcoming Scream movie, due out next year — have undergone couples therapy.

“We’ve done couples therapy in the past. We’re not lazy about our marriage,” the former Friends star told InStyle magazine in July.

“We have the same arguments we’ve had for years. Some things just never change, and you should realize that the intriguing things you fall in love with will probably become things you don’t like and the very things you’ll be talking about for the rest of your relationship.”

For those who are interested, Courteney and David have just released the following statement to People magazine.

“The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage,” they say.

“We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go though this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together.

“We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well.”
