MATT Damon has cleared up speculation that he has signed on to direct a new film written by pals Ben and Casey Affleck.

“He and Casey were going to write this movie and I guess Ben was quoted recently saying that he’d love to have me direct it,” Damon said. “There is no script yet.”

Damon – whose next film, Hereafter, opens October 22 — recently revealed his wife Luciana will be giving birth to their baby girl later this month.

“I’m really excited,” he said.

“I’m anxious to meet her. She’s going to be here soon!”

The baby girl will join Isabella, 4, Gia, 2, and Luciana’s daughter from a previous marriage, Alexia, 12.

Damon also discussed living in an all-female household.

“It’s just completely different from any experience I’ve ever had in my life! It’s like relearning life. But it’s kind of amazing,” he said.
