Andrew Garfield: ‘I’m Not Too Skinny For Spider-Man’

ANDREW Garfield insists he’s not too skinny to play Spider-Man.
The actor — who will soon take on the iconic comic book role and his alter-ego Peter Parker in the first of a planned series of Spidey prequel movies — is already fending off foes who dare to criticize his hero credentials.
“I have had a lot of good wishes and kind words and a fair bit of criticism too,” he says.
“I heard some people are saying I’m lacking the muscles to be Spider-Man. But the thing Spidey is as skinny and me. He’s not Arnold Schwarzenegger!”
Garfield recently revealed that he’s good friends with Robert Pattinson and they’re both supportive of each other’s careers.
“I don’t see it as a competition,” he said.
“Rob’s a friend of mine and I care about him a lot. We’re very supportive of each other.”
