Lisa Marie Presley: ‘I Could Have Saved Michael Jackson’

Michael JacksonLISA Marie Presley thinks she could have saved Michael Jackson.

The singer — who married the late Thriller hitmaker in 1994, before splitting in 1996 — believes she may have been able to help Michael and regrets she never made a phone call to him in his time of need.

When asked by Oprah Winfrey on her TV talk show if she could have saved him, Lisa Marie replied, “I know it’s naive to think that I could have but I wanted to. Had I made a call, had I stopped being so shut off from him, had I just said ‘How are you?’ I really regret that I didn’t.”

However, despite her guilt, she thinks his death was inevitable, saying, “I think that was a train heading in a certain direction that no one could have stopped. I’ve had to really get my head around that in order to stop the pain.”

She also revealed how Michael wouldn’t let anybody get close enough to help him and pushed everyone away.

“If he didn’t want you around, if you were going to make him confront something he didn’t want to confront, he could make you go away — including his own family,” she said.

Michael died of acute Propofol intoxication at his home in Los Angeles on June 25 last year.

    its to late to regret it LMP you shouldn’t have turned your back on him when he needed you most, you should have been there for him when he needed you but you wasn’t you shut him out and pushed him away…smh shame on you why now? why waited a year later to reget not being there for michael thats sad and in way he still cared about you…..if you had cared about him michael then you would been there when he was calling out for help, i love you dearly michael and you are dearly missed you are always in my heart and in my thoughts, faith,peace and love always…from one of your beloved fans

    She expressed this when he died almost immediately. I guess they had a falling out and she was mad at him, but she still loved him it seems and perhaps still does. She said he could be difficult and didn’t always listen. I believe this. Cause people like Chris Tucker tried to reconnect with him but were shut out. Maybe he felt he couldn’t trust them. However LM said he had a bunch of snakes and parasites that also latched on to him and ultimately she left for that reason. She didn’t want bad people around her kids.
