John Mayer Plans to Fire Back at Taylor Swift?

John MayerJOHN Mayer is thinking about getting his own back on Taylor Swift!

In her new single Dear John, Swift apparently disses the rocker, whom she reportedly dated last year.

“Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with,” Taylor sings. “Maybe it’s you and your sick need to give love and take it away.”

Sources says Mayer is gearing up to respond to Swift — in a big way!

“Everyone knows John loves publicity and lives for this type of situation,” an insider told Pop Eater.

“She can bet that right now he is sitting in his apartment thinking of some witty way to respond. Writing a response to Dear John called Dear Taylor would be too obvious, so expect something much bigger than that.

“Sure Taylor has a right to say whatever she wants but she needs to know she is playing with fire.”

Taylor, 20, recently admitted that she uses her upcoming album, Speak Now, to discuss various aspects of her private life.

“My next album is something I’m really proud of. I can only write about what I’ve been through. And a lot has happened in the past two years,” she said.

“Everything that happens to me gets put into a song.

“For some reason, I’m really comfortable talking about my personal life in songs. There, I don’t hold back: names, dates, times, expressions on people’s faces, exactly where we were and how it felt, what I wish I would have said to them in the moment.”

    I have LOVED John Mayer’s music since 2002. But, I just recently started liking SOME of Taylor Swift’s music too (though I HATE country music) since they play it on my favorite Top 40 station. They both (OBVIOUSLY) like to kiss & tell, but…free speech! John did once sing “Say what you need to say”. He’s witty so I can’t wait to see if he has fun with a response or not! ;)

      I felt sorry for her when Joe Jonas broke off the relationship on a phone call. But now I am not feeling sorry for her about John. She got what she deserve. She knew what kind of person John was before getting into a relationship with him. She was not the first woman he had. She went in with her eyes open.

        Sadly pathetic when someone has to sound off to millons of people in a song when they didn’t have the guts to tell the person they were with at the time personally?       If you have listened to the whole CD you will see that she doesnt play the victim!Back to December is about her saying sorry to a guy she hurt. So i dont want to hear anything about her playing the victim! She knows when shes wrong! Also she could of wrote a song bashing Kayne but she didnt she wrote one forgiving him and saying that things he did doesnt define him as a person. Taylor is a good person but shes also a young girl and for most of these songs she was in fact a teenage girl so of course shes going to be sad about losing loves and upset about people that hurt her! Give her a break! Maybe like she said in Dear John…he should of known.

        I also can’t edit my comment, so I’m going to say right now, I’m a member of the online writing community, and I’m 15. I’ve been criticized, my work isn’t very good, I have friends who’ve had their work torn apart by people who don’t care about their feelings. But they didn’t complain about it for months and months. No, they sucked it up and got over how bad their work was and improved. And that’s what Taylor Swift needs to do. She needs to improve her singing and her songwriting (the song “Mean” is something you shouldn’t start me on…) and get better to show the critics that they’re wrong, not provide fodder for them to mock her with.

        Umm yes 20 is still a young girl and adult or not she is still a girl either way so you can’t say shes not a girl lol Shes not complaining for months and months its just been documented in song form. If she were a writer it would also be documented for ever! I dont ever hear her complaining. You may think that her songs are but thats like some one publishing writen work and its always going to be there but they aren’t complaining about it. She just needs to say what she couldnt say at the time and i know all people have had something they wanted to say but didnt. Like I said before these guys should of known. SHes even said it this is her thrid CD like this and they have had fair warning! If they didnt want a song writen about them then dont date her simple as that!

    Yeah, she seems to play the perennial victim very well. Personally, I cannot understand why a mature man would want something like this. Even though she’s 20, she has the emotional age of a young teen. Any man who gets involved with her should know that she’ll humiliate him in song and that nothing between them will remain private. Why would anyone bargain for that? The only men who welcome it are those who will use her fame and money to get ahead.

    she is amazing. Notice that she is a true role model? She sings songs based on her past relationships and stuff but she actually helps young girls that are going through the same situations. John Mayer.. yeah he is a freaking douche.
    Do you see her smoking and all these bad things that teenagers and young musicians and actors are involving them selves. She is actually setting an example to teenagers and to children of all ages. She is amazing , beautiful , hilarious and one of the most down to earth human beings i have ever met.     You rock on Taylor! Youre my inspiration and people shouldn’t be sensitive towards songs! People right songs based on things that happed in their life whether it was good or bad when it is bad you right a song puttin all youre feelings in it! Thats better than anger issues and being violent!
