Robert Pattinson Refuses to Work With Simon Cowell!

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson has revealed why he turned down a recording deal with music mogul Simon Cowell.

“I love Simon, I think he is a great personality and I think his shows are entertaining,” he said.

“He is a clever guy and he created artists that he knows the public will like, that’s why I don’t think he could ever launch my music career.

“I am selfish with my music. I get my guitar and I play what I like, but the problem is I don’t think many other people would like it.”

Reports earlier this year claimed Cowell had offered the Twilight hunk an album deal.

“Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star — and takes his music very seriously,” a source said earlier this year.

“He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with X Factor and pop.”

Meanwhile, Pattinson reckons he’ll follow in the footsteps of his hero, tragic Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

“I am sure I’ll be one of those artists that people don’t pay any attention to while I’m alive, and when I am dead people will go yeah, man, that was a work of art,” he said.

“I see myself playing in a rundown blues bar, with about three people drowning their sorrows. I play according to my mood, and sometimes that can come across as very depressing in music.”

    GOOD FOR ROB! He doesn’t want to sell out with his music, I get it. Besides, Rob has the money and connections that if he wants to go in a different direction he could do it without Simon. He has fame, fortune and well whatever the hell he wants… why be a music star as well.. why not keep what’s left of his sanity and play for himself and not a music mogul.

    Are you kidding me… I loved the son “Let Me Sign” when I first heard the song, I did’t know who or what band it was and told myself I had to find out because I loved it. Short lived as it was in the movie it was perfect. I was shocked to find out it was Robert Pattinson. I knew from the dvd of the behind the scenes portion that he played the piano in the film but didn’t realize he did two songs in it as well both of which I enjoyed. We all have different taste in music… just because his music may not appeal to you doesn’t mean everyone feels the same way.

    who is to say he really can play the guitar other than a few bars.

    no one has questioned him on his musical abilities.

    maybe it’s all a myth.

    why would’nt he want to take up simons offer?

    I’ve heard him play the guitar and the piano and he’s great at both, although better at the piano. can’t believe you even questioned that considering how many people have and heard him play. Hey Ashleigh, how are you? I haven’t been coming onto this page lately because it’s been crazy with Halloween parties and activities. Not to mention the subject matter here has been a bit of stretch if not boring. I get tired of reading posts from people who claim Rob is gay or that he’s not talented yet they seem to be so drawn to him that they take the time to post comments about him. I mean really… I say they secretly love him. LOL…
