Sources say the actress’ relationship with her Israeli doctor father Avner Hershlag has turned “very frosty” following the scenes in psychological thriller Black Swan in which she plays a lesbian ballerina.

Natalie, 29, has previously turned down roles, including Lolita, which she considered too explicit, but she was determined to take on the role of troubled prima ballerina Nina in Black Swan.

“Natalie is a very private and dignified person and is often influenced by her father’s approval,” a source said.

“This, however, was one role she simply didn’t want to turn down even though she knew it would upset her father.

“He still sees her as his baby and always will and thinks showing herself like this is degrading.

“Things are very frosty between them right now.”

Portman recently revealed she’s careful about what she does onsceen because she doesn’t want her scenes to be taken out of context and used as porn!

“I’m definitely not a prude about sex or nudity, I just don’t want do something that will end up in a screen grab on a porn site,” she said.

    Bull! Natalie has made a movie or two that would give most fathers pause. I remember one where she was a stripper dancing very provocatively for someone (Who? I only had eyes for her). I had never thought of her in that way before and, admittedly, had to roll up my tongue and tuck it behind a tonsil. I had no idea she was my ‘type’ before seeing her in that slightly risque pic. I saw a side of her that suprised me and have wondered, at times, if I hadn’t seen something years back in ‘The Professional’ one of her first movies, that was there even at that young age, a simmering sensuality. I hope she doesn’t overdo it in her new movie, I find overt sluttyness distasteful and am not a big fan of lesbian antics.

    @1 The movie you saw her in as a stripper was Closer and that scene was with Clive Owen. It has had Julia Roberts and Jude Law in it.

    no problem with sex or nudity but doesn’t want a scene to be on a porn site? why not? what’s the difference? a pig in a beautiful theater is still the same pig as in the barn.

    The only other professions in which people display themselves undressed and in sexual positions: porn, stripping, and prostitution. So let’s get real about what most actors do for a living. No judgments. It is what it is.

    I never understood how behaving like a child playing dress-up (i.e.”acting”) leads these people to think they should undress for everyone in the world like they are regular strippers or prostitutes.

      I wonder how much respect they’d have for people who publicly disrobe without getting a red carpet to walk on for their effort. I guess that’s why they’re actors and nothing more. Only people who could be fooled into thinking that being well-known by millions is equivalent to being respected or being respectful could behave in such a manner.

    I don’t even know how they make up their own rules like “I know I’m married, but it’s okay to kiss, get naked with, simulate sex with another person for millions to watch because I’m an Actor.” It’s just so strange when people just accept the weirdest things, especially when this wouldn’t be a normal or intelligent way to behave at all.

    And this stuff wont be used for porn? People are mostly seeing this movie for the lesbian sex scenes and it involved getting eaten out, not just a kiss… I wonder how these celebrities can even face their families after theyed whored themselves out for the whole world and even their dad and brother knows what their naked body in the midst of sex looks like. Maybe her dad is cold because he didnt want to have to be exposed to his own daughters private parts when he went there to support her… its pretty sad these actors and actresses pervert and destroy their families this way. Maybe her dad and mom love each other enough not to want to get involved in the incest shes provoking by showing this porn to her own father.

    One thing Id like to say is no matter if its porn or a movie its all for entertainment. If you dont like nudity or sex scenes, or the full blown deed. Dont watch the movies that have it in there and shut up about it. Theres always someone that ruins good movies and tv shows because they dont like them. THEN DONT WATCH! quit taking our entertainment away from the ones who enjoy the art!
