The actress — who has two children with long-term boyfriend Tim Burton — has admitted enrolling in parenting classes to learn how to become a better mother.
“I’m not working right now and I need to learn to be a mum,” she said.
“It’s much harder than being an actress. I’m taking parenting classes. You know, no one ever taught me what to do.
“No one ever taught me what to do.
“Having children in my late 30s makes them more precious because you really want them by then.
“Before you are a mother you never know how much in love you will be. I want to be the best parent I can.”
Helena recently revealed she loves completing household chores.
“It’s magic, I can’t stop seeing dirt now,” she said.
Helena, 44, says she staying living with her parents until the age of 30.
“They were great, so I wasn’t desperate to leave – although there was definitely something dysfunctional about it,” she added.
