MANDY Moore says it’s hard work having long hair.

The singer/actress — who voices Princess Rapunzel, the tenth Disney Princess, in the new CGI animated film Tangled — is bemoaning the raw deal leading ladies get in having to keep their hairdos in tip-top shape while star guys take a short cut to catwalk style.

“Any woman with long hair will tell you it’s a lot of responsibility,” she said.

“It’s a lot of work. It’s a lot to maintain. Guys don’t know how lucky they are! I mean, the blow drying, the shampoo, all the products. There’s a whole lot more that goes into it.”

Mandy — who has been in the public eye for a decade — recently admitted she sees similarities to the sheltered life Rapunzel leads and her own growing up.

“But I never felt trapped,” she said.

“Rapunzel wasn’t allowed the freedom I was. I know I didn’t live the life that other people my age were living, and it definitely shaped who I am. So I can relate in a sense to the feeling of being separated and isolated from everyone else.”

Moore is married to rocker Ryan Adams.
