Michelle Williams: ‘Marilyn Monroe is Taking Over my Life’

Michelle WilliamsMICHELLE Williams has days when she feels as though Marilyn Monroe is taking over her life.

The 30-year-old actress plays the iconic screen star in new movie My Week With Marilyn and she admits the presence of the late Hollywood legend is looming over all aspects of her life.

“I feel like we live together,” she said. “At a certain point something else does take over. I don’t quite feel myself these days.”

The actress has also had ‘lessons’ in how to act like Monroe so she can give the best possible portrayal of the blonde beauty.

“I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist,” she said. “But physically and vocally everything is different from me. I’ve kind of gone to school and had teachers to help me understand Marilyn, so I could project an essence of her. When I first approached the part, I thought that there were three, even four parts to Marilyn.”

My Week With Marilyn will focus on the making of Monroe’s 1957 film The Prince And The Showgirl with Laurence Olivier.

It is based on a diary written by Colin Clark while he worked for Olivier — who directed, produced and starred in the film — as third assistant director.

The diary has already been published but details of one specific week were left out. This missing time frame will become the basis of the story.

    Please,she will say anything to manipulate the public so people will pay for a movie ticket. She is so desperate to stay famous. The only reason she gets acting roles is because she made sure she became a hollywood couple with Heath Ledger just like Naomi Watts was with him except Michelle had to trap him in order to keep him. Photos from her earlier days as an actress are unattractive. I do not understand why any director with intelligence would find her appealing as Marilyn Monroe. You know what Michelle,
    I don’t believe Marilyn shares that feeling you have. Just as Heath Ledger never moved furniture as a way to greet you when you were alone at home as you once mentioned. I guess we were supposed to believe you?
    Yes of course he would want to continue contact with someone who
    stole all of his freedom and later bullied him with her lawyers for sole custody of a child he was not ready for.
