ZACHARY LEVI: ‘PLAYING A DISNEY PRINCE HAS BEEN ON MY BUCKET LIST FOR AGES’

ZACHARY Levi was delighted to get the call offering him a role in new movie Tangled — because he has always wanted to be a Disney prince!
In the flick — which also stars Mandy Moore — Levi voices the character of Flynn Rider, a bandit who finds refuge in Rapunzel’s tower.
“It’s such a dream come true – total bucket list thing,” the actor gushed.
“Ever since I was a little kid, one of the things I wanted to do was be a voice in a Disney animated musical. And I get to sing Alan Menken music while play an awesome, fun character in the 50th animated movie? I’m only 30-years-old and actually accomplishing things. That’s pretty cool.”
“I honestly thought I had no shot at getting this job,” he adds. “I thought they would get a much bigger name, as they normally do nowadays to sell tickets, understandably. But I got the job.”
Levi then discussed the possibility of appearing on Broadway.
“I grew up doing musical theater and before Chuck got picked up, I was cast in Young Frankenstein“, he said.
“I was gonna come to New York, I was going to be on Broadway – which was an embarrassment of riches. A TV show and a Broadway show. Wow, wow, wow. But I’ve always intended to sing professionally in some capacity – I’ve just never known what that is.”
