DWAYNE Johnson says Harrison Ford inspired him to get into movies.
The actor — who has starred in movies including The Scorpion King and Tooth Fairy — says he saw Ford as Indiana Jones at the age of eight and knew he wanted to work in films from then.
“When I was eight years old, I watched Indiana Jones for the first time,” he said. “I fell in love with movies then and I wanted to be that guy.
“I was a big fan of Harrison Ford when I was younger, so, even though he wasn’t Arnold Schwarzenegger, he was still a guy who was able to kick a*s and be charming and witty and be intelligent. So I loved that!”
Johnson recently revealed he wants to star in Sylvester Stallone‘s upcoming Expendables sequel.
“It all depends on the material. I’ve known Sly for a long time now and he’s a buddy of mine so it all depends on the material,” he said.
Dwayne also insisted he is grounded and prefers to be “nice” than come across as “self-absorbed”.
“Not only do I think being nice and kind easy but being kind, in my opinion, is important,” he said.
“It’s easy to be a bad ass, it’s easy to act like a bad ass, easy to act like a tough guy, it’s easy to be a diva, and it’s easy to be self absorbed. I always just find it more important to be nice and kind.”[imagebrowser id=857]
