The former heavyweight champion has revealed he owns 2,500 pigeons — and he loves them all!

Tyson said his bizarre hobby, which he first took up when he was just a boy, living in Brooklyn, is set to be the subject of a documentary due to be aired next year.

“I have birds everywhere that I go,” he said. “I have them at different homes that I live and hang out at.

“All together I have probably around 2,500 birds.”

Tyson recently claimed he is living paycheck to paycheck.

“I’m totally destitute and broke,” he said. “But I have an awesome life, I have an awesome wife who cares about me. I’m totally broke. I had a lot of fun. It (going broke) just happened.

“I don’t deserve to have the wife that I have; I don’t deserve the kids that I have, but I do, and I’m very grateful.”

Tyson was previously married to actress Robin Givens in 1988 and Monica Turner in 1997.

    It is absolutely unbelievable that Mike Tyson could make as much money as he made and end up broke. He isn’t the sharpest knife in the draw. Now he admits he is totally broke, yet keeps reproducing kids, keeps remarrying, and supports 2,500 birds. He obviously has some serious problems.
