KATE Gosselin is messing up her children!

The reality TV star — who raises eight kids with ex-husband Jon Gosselin — refuses to speak to her former spouse’s new girlfriend Ellen.

And according family therapist Dr. Jeff Gardere, Kate’s actions could damage her brood!

“It’s not unusual in divorces for someone to act this way towards their ex’s new partner,” Dr. Gardere, who consuls parents on the Vh1’s Dad Camp, told HollyBaby.

“There is a lot of bitterness there and that can be hard to see, even if that relationship is long over.

“She may not take the relationship between them seriously. In Kate’s mind she could think that Ellen is just passing through and doesn’t have any real significance.

“Kate needs to drop all of her bad feelings and she must meet her now!

“This woman has responsibilities with Kate’s kids and as a mom she needs to know who this woman is, even if she thinks it’s her enemy!”

“The kids will get the message that it’s considered bad to like this woman and that creates divided loyalty and they will end up feeling guilty.”

Meanwhile, Kate is suing Jon for $125,000.

“She makes several million dollars a year and has free things thrown at her and the kids — if anything, she should be paying Jon child support!” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine.

“It is a shock to everyone that she still insists Jon pay her money, when his focus needs to be on providing what he can for the kids during his custody.

“Her attempts to sue Jon are just ways she tries to control everything around her because she’s still angry about their failed marriage.

“Kate is so cheap, at least when it comes to the kids: She has TLC pay for their food, clothes and travel on days they film.

“She’s frugal when it comes to the kids, but she has no qualms about spending money on herself.

“Jon’s paid back $80,000 this year so far and the court ordered him to pay around $22,000 a month.

“That amount was based on his potential earning, which has changed so much since TLC has limited the amount of media work he can do — and that’s how Jon was making his living. Before their series ended, they both were making hundreds of thousands of dollars on appearances and media deals. Between the two of them, they must have made millions. But they spent the money as fast as they earned it.”

This woman has no more use for her children than she would for any other props needed to further her ‘career’. She should have the common sense to let the children be with their father full time and have them during the times that she is free from working at her job. (oh, that’s right, she has NO career, she has NO job, well, then just let them be with their dad and she has her free time for her all important tanning – mani/pedi – Target – FedEx/Kinkos – gas station – and most important, running/walking/actually, trudging -runs. It is amazing, she THINKS she is a star, she thinks the guy she calls with her photo op schedule classifies as papparrazzi – love all those letters – she thinks she had ability as a dancer – she thinks people are impressed with her BUT when it comes to her kids – she doesn’t THINK, period! She has failed as a daughter, wife, mother, friend, employee, you name it, she’s failed at it, although can you say she failed if she didn’t even TRY? Please TLC, give us a break and LET HER GO!

Any story from Hollywood has no credence since “the source” is Jon Gosselin or Ellen Ross.vAdditionally, who in the hell believes anything from the so-called therapist that has never seen the family. WTF!
Oh yeah, Kate Gosselinis is messing up her kids so much by providing the income to pay the mortgage, put food on the table, clothes on their back and beds to sleep on.

Mom is not providing any income for these kids. Get your story straight. ALL THE MONEY IS BECAUSE OF THE CHILDREN and rightfully should all be theirs, not just some of it.
Take the kids out of the equation and then tell the world what money mom has made. You will see it is NONE.

@MsGoody: Ding Dong. The kids are paying for the mortgage and putting food on the table. Kate sits on her fat arss all day. The only time she gets up is to go shopping, tanning, her nails and her daily jog. Steve sleeps in the basement so God only knows what happens when the children are asleep. Don’t have kids, we have enough problems in the world without adding more parents like Kate G. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Barbra let Kate go she isn’t worth watching any more. Let her find out what the real world is like out there. I feel sorry for Jon he may have done wrong in the beginning but cut the some slack, at least he is trying.
I think it is wrong for TLC to pay for kids clothes,food & travel. I know Kate is cheap, she even looks that way. I
believe if she can spend that much money on a hair cut she buy things for her family.
But PLEASE let her go.

You have to be joking, right? Who cares what the kids have or seen, look at what they don’t have is more important: friends, extended family, fulll-time with loving father, privacy, safety, childhood, unconditional love from mother, responsibility, guidance, schooling with peers, loving personalities; and in general a normal life.
I bet you could poll any five or ten children in your community and find out which they would rather have and chances are the majority would rather have what these children lack any day.

Why doesn’t everyone just leave her alone! You don’t know how you would act in her position—the old “walk a mile in my shoes” thing.
Because of the show, the kids are getting to do things they wouldn’t normally do, see things that 90% of kids don’t see; and they have all their experiences on tape to watch later in life.
Considering what Jon did to her, I think she is doing a “perty darn good” job!

My mother-in-law had 6 kids and was a single parent most of the time. She didnt have a TV show to help pay for things and she did just fine. Kate can do the same thing.

When Kate and Jon had the children, her health insurance allowed her a RN assistant for a month. She wrote to the Reading Eagle, the Reading, PA newspaper, that she was entitled to help since society had made available the science that permitted her to have multiple children at one time. A local church they were attending added rooms to their home in Wyomissing for free. Kate did not like this so they moved. She expects things for free, doesn’t care about her children and only cares for the glitz she can get in life.

I have watched the show with my family for a few years. We watched Kate during the “good times” and watched the marriage crumble. Kate is totally at fault with all of this. She pretty much chased off her husband, yes he is wrong for cheating, he should have left her then found another. But still with her constant nagging and putting him down, most men wouldn’t have put up with that.
Pay attention while watching the show, she hardly interacts with the kids. The only time she really does is if it is a photo op, or they are traveling somewhere new. She is a total attention hog, she has to be the center of all of this. I skipped a season of DWTS because it was painful to watch her pathetic attempt at dancing and her fake plastic smile.
Once they got the new mansion things went downhill. I saw how she interacted with the Tuttles, and the guy who helped make their house green, she is one evil bitch. Honestly she should be yanked from the show, keep the kids on with their father. I always enjoyed watching them interact with Jon, the kids seem to have a lot more fun. Less camera time for Maddy as well, she is a spitting image of Kate, always starting fights and whining. It would be hard to ever believe Kate to have another relationship, no man wants his manhood yanked from him and be made a bitch on tv.

This woman could sell everything and live in a modest house anywhere in the US and be able to support her children just fine. Nurses make upwards of $20 an hour multiply that by 40 hours a week and you have a nice income by any standards. It is a matter of priorities. Kate needs to get these kids out of the spotlight and for good.

When a therapist cares enough to do a load of Kate’s laundry then and only then will they have room to spout off their opinions. A real therapist would never tell someone that they were “messing” up their children and they certainly wouldn’t say it in public. Who is this therapist? They deserve to be investigated by the AMA and possibly sued in court by Kate for making those accusations. EVERY SINGLE PARENT IN THE WORLD is doing something to “mess” up their children. Only judgmental morons say negative things about a MOTHER of 8 children. If you freakers care so much, then why don’t you simply go offer to do a load of laundry once a week.

We all know there is no therapist involved in this story. The information is coming from Kate’s camp. The old saying, ‘Any News is Good News’ certainly applies to this woman because she will do and say anything about anyone to stay in the news. Anything to keep her name and picture out there is fine with her even if it is not complimentary news.
Who is the idiotic mother who goes on national television to try to explain why her children were expelled? No one needs to know that information, she just did that so she could continue to keep her persona in the media even at the cost of her children’s reputation. I really don’t believe there will ever be enough money to satisfy Kate Gosselin. I don’t believe any husband would ever make her happy.

I’m tired of hearing how broke she is and how much it takes to raise children. If they have security, private schools, nannies, etc. of course it would have to take a lot. Live like real people and you can make do with far far less. Put the children first for once in your life, Kate.

Everyone keeps saying that the only way that Kate can raise the kids is if she has a reality show or if she is in show business.
There are many families in our country and the world where there are six or more kids and the parents work at regular jobs and their kids are better cared for than Kate’s are. It is obligatory that they go to private school. They will get used to public school in a short time. A public school closer to where they live [which most likely will not be the mansion for long] will let them interact with kids their own age and in the activities we all enjoyed and saw that our kids enjoyed as they grow up.

I’m continually amazed at how many have such either venom against Kate or blindly adore her.
She’s was a person who had a fair marriage and an interesting enough family that a TV show was attracted to their story. It was a pretty good story…and considering the scary costs of raising 8 kids when they had thought they were only adding 1 or 2 when they did the 2nd invitro I can see why they gave the show a shot.
Like thousands of marriages out there, things ended badly. They both had fault in that. Jon was such a passive agressive that Kate almost had to be a control freak to keep a family of 10 running. They should have gotten marriage counseling long before things fell apart. Jon just wants to play and hide from the burdens of the family he created. Kate needs a strong husband…not another child. Then she wouldn’t feel as if she had to control everything. Technically she could become a nurse again, but its not very realistic. Not many hospitals would want to take on the media baggage she’ll bring working for them.
Public life probably is her safest choice to support the family…and at least she is doing SOMEthing to provide for them…so I can’t judge her harshly for that. She does still need counseling to deal with the anger and control issues. It will help her relate to others as well.
Glad to see she had the sense not to get along well with Palin. THAT woman is the real phoney…but has a large part of America fooled.

Kate is a terrible mother. Children grow up fast. The children were cheated out of a childhood and she can never give it back. Kate is all about Kate.
