Susan BoyleSUSAN Boyle can buy the Christmas drinks this year!

The Scottish singing sensation — who shot to fame on Simon Cowell‘s UK TV talent show Britain’s Got Talent — is now worth a whopping $22m!

Boyle has topped the album charts on both sides of the Atlantic and shifted an estimated 10 million CDs. She has also raked in cash from an autobiography and TV appearances including a date with US chat queen Oprah Winfrey.

“Unlike a lot of artists, who write songs and have heavy touring commitments, most of Susan Boyle’s income has come from old-fashioned record sales,” said Cliff Dane of The Sunday Times Rich List.

“And it’s mostly CDs as opposed to downloads, due to the nature of her fanbase.

“I estimate she is currently worth £11million, based on royalties and advances accumulated to date, fees from other sources less tax, and including something for the present value of future royalty streams from her two albums.”

Modest Susan hasn’t splashed much of the cash she’s earned since becoming a household name.

She recently bought her late mum’s council house in Blackburn, West Lothian, and splashed out on a detached property nearby.

Meanwhile, Boyle is in talks to have her meteoric rise to fame chronicled in a new stage production and is hoping to take the lead role in the show.

“I’m definitely going to be on stage. I’d rather that than having to sit watching people up there looking like me,” she said.

“I want to be doing the music parts, so I’ll be coming in and out of the show. I’m looking forward to doing some live work. It’ll be really nice to see so many of the people who have supported me in person.”

Producers are reportedly planning to take the show — which will chronicle the 49-year-old star’s modest upbringing in Blackburn, West Lothian, her period living alone with her cat and her rise to stardom — on a huge UK tour late next year as they believe it will be extremely popular.

“Susan has incredibly loyal fans. People will be traveling from all over the world to see her perform in her own musical,” a source said.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them book tickets to watch it five nights in a row.”

Um, the figure of £11 million was pulled out of a hat, and does NOT equal $22 million.
There’s a converter online that will help with that.
