Leonardo DiCaprio: Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens Split Because of Leonardo DiCaprio?

Zac Efron and Vanessa HudgensZAC Efron and Vanessa Hudgens may have split because of Leonardo DiCaprio.

Zac is said to have been taking advice from his showbiz pal on life on and off screen shortly before ending things with his longtime girlfriend.

“Zac is very much following Leo’s way to the top if he can and listens to his advice all the time,” says the source.

“It was Leo who said Zac needed to get away from his High School Musical image if he wants to be taken seriously and Zac appears to have taken that to extremes.

“No one ever thought him and Vanessa splitting was on the cards.”

Efron recently revealed he became buddies with his acting idol DiCaprio after he scored with him at a basketball game.

“I met him at a Laker game,” he said. “I’d sat down in seats and I looked down and there was a dude in a baseball hat and I went, ‘Holy s***, that’s Leo!’ I was like, ‘Man, I’m not gonna interrupt you during the game, I know you wanna watch the Lakers. But if there’s any chance that I could just talk to you for a minute, whether we get coffee, anything dude.’

“And he was like, ‘Dude, what are you doing tomorrow? Come over tomorrow — let’s hang out.’

“That’s a little taste of how cool he is. He’s just very down to earth. He’s just an awesome dude. He’s been nice enough to hang out with me a few times.”

The star has previously revealed how the Inception hunk warned him on the dangers of substance abuse.

“It was kind of his way-out-the-door, last-minute advice. He said, ‘Oh, by the way, if you really want to mess this all up, try heroin’,” he said.

“I said, ‘Thanks’, and he said, ‘No, seriously, that’s pretty much the only way you’re going to screw this up, and you shouldn’t go down that road — it will mess you up without fail. Do not do drugs.’

“That was enough for me; that’s all I needed to hear.”

    If this is true that the reason they broke up is because Zac wanted to hang with his guy pals one weekend,it says alot about the relationship. I wonder if Zac threatens breakup when Vanessa wants to spend the day shopping with her gal pals?

    From what i have seen, vanessa seems very, very clingy. She brings a whole new meaning to clingy GF. She always wants to be with him. She’s always grabbing him by the arm and holding on to him as if she can’t let go of him. Zac probably just wants some space. I would if i where him. Maybe he just wants some time on his own. Besides, she was a deadweight.

    What ever the reason was it wasn’t Leonardo Dicaprio’s fault, he was basically giving Zac so pretty good advice by telling him to try and get away from the HSM life which is fair enough because that’s all he is getting recognised for. But Zac is the one who took it upon himself to end it with Vannessa adn there could be another reason to that, relationships never last especially at such a young age! It’s good that Zac has someone to look up to for his carrer.

    Well I dont think its true at all because this is the third “reason” they broke up thats surfaced within the past 24 hours… :/ I cant believe people are still falling for this. Its not a break up its TAKING A BREAK. They both have a LOT to film between now and the next couple months so they felt that a TEMPORARY break is neccesary so that they can just get filming over with. No one has their facts straight when it comes to this RUMOR…

    Vanessa’s my girl. Thanks for the advice leo now shes free. Leos a scorpio. I dont agree with his tear everything apart to put it back together again logic. You cant do that to women.

    I am a real big fan of Zac and Vanessa. Zac I am older than you and a mom. I have 2 sons and one is almost your age. My advise to you take it or leave it…do not listen to anyone nothing against leonardo but I have seen all your movies and appearances in shows even the lifetime movie you did when you were much younger! I think you are going and doing great and going in the right path you are a great actor, singer and pick up all dances great! You are very talented and just let you gut and heart do your thinking! I are doing great so far! As far as breaking up with Vanessa I am sad about that…but you are young and maybe you will be with her again…as far as your career do not let anyone tell you what to do as far as what you feel is not for you! You are doing great in you acting career..You did very well in Charlie St. Cloud! Very good acting! I use to be an acting coach! Keep it clean and keep doing great movies so I can buy more! lol big fan lefty

    it really doesnt matter id leo convinced zac to break things off, the point is that zac made to choice to listen to this advice and did it anyway. besides, i also think that vanessa was clingy and she just wanted to stay in her “high school musical” phase.

    Hi, If Zac and Vanessa did break up because of Leonardo Di Caprio, Then my opinion about this article is that Zac shouldn’t choose his job first just because he was given an advice by a famous actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) to boost up his career. It’s just that even though he want to be as successful as Leo, and not to become known as “Troy Bolton” from High School Musical forever, he should also take the time to realize that leaving Vanessa might be something he will regret in the future. I know that becoming friends with Leonardo DiCaprio is a chance of a lifetime to anyone, but he should also think about the memories he had with Vanessa for the past 4 years that he will miss dearly. Balancing a relationship between work is always hard to everyone but trust between both sides is the key to keep it a strong lasting relationship. By the way, I know this because I’ve been through it and I regretted it up to this day. I hope I helped while it’s not too late and that Zac Efron should take my advice on this.
