JENNIFER Connelly, who’s expecting her second child with husband Paul Bettany, says the first trimester of her pregnancy has been riddled with bouts of nausea.

“The first three months were no fun. It was sketchy, like cell phone service sketchy,” said the 40-year-old.

“I have to stand in one spot in my apartment to make a phone call. It was like that with the nausea.”

Connelly and Bettany — who already have a 7-year-old son, Stellan, together — announced the pregnancy in December 2010. Jennifer has a 13-year-old son, Kai, from a previous relationship.

“I had to stand in one spot, which happened to be in front of my refrigerator, which was open, with me dipping pretzels in cream cheese and stuffing them in my mouth,” she added. “If I did that, I was good.”

Connelly has previously revealed how she knew Bettany — whom she wed in Scotland in 2003 after they met filming the Oscar-winning flick A Beautiful Mind – was The One.

“It was something about the way that we were together,” she said.

“He stood out to me as someone singular and rare and beautiful, and I liked the way he was in the world. I liked the way he was with people. I liked the way he was with my son and the way he made me feel.”
