Ashley Olsen Haggles For Bargains

The actress and fashion designer –- who, alongside her identical twin sister Mary-Kate, was recently ranked as the 11th richest woman in entertainment with a combined wealth of $100 million — was spotted trying to unsuccessfully get a deal when purchasing some flowers in Hollywood.

“She was checking out flowers at Moe’s Flowers in West Hollywood which were on sale for $12 for 10 plants,” a source said. “But that wasn’t enough for Ashley, who had the nerve to ask, ‘Can I have these for a dollar each?’

“After being told, ‘Sorry, there’s no haggling here’. She replied, ‘But they’re not the finest quality’, while plucking off dead leaves. The guy then insisted Ashley either pay full price or forget it so she coughed up the 12 bucks.”

It could be that the 24-year-old star is saving up for a designer handbag, as she recently admitted she can’t wait to get her hands on a Crocodile Birkin bag made by French luxury group Hermes.

“The next one I want to get is the crocodile Birkin, but that won’t be for a while,” she said. “Crocodile is my favorite!”

    “Saving up”? Are you kidding me? I know these bags can go for thousands but since when did Ashley “moneybags” Olsen have to save for anything? Haggling about flowers? She is purely nuts.

    Just because you’re rich doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to get bargains. (Though I think a dollar each would’ve been pushing it). People who don’t try to get a bargain aren’t very smart. Besides…I heard she is really polite, gracious and tips well. (It’s not like she turned into a diva and said “do you know who I am? You better give me a discount”)

    Ashley is such a spoiled brat for acting this way-if the flowers “weren’t the finest quality”-as she said-,then DUH she didn’t have to buy them!!She didn’t have to make such a fuss-esp. when money is no object!!I swear-sometimes being a lesser-moneyed mortal is not so bad….at least we actually have to WORK for what we have -including both neccessities and luxeries- and WE are smart enough to appreciate it!!Like I said Ashley was just being a spoiled brat this time!I swear you celebs are SOOOO funny:)

    Wow! Wouldn’t it be cool if people actually knew the meaning of the phrases they use? Born with a silver spoon in her mouth? The girl has been working since she was 9 months old. Never got a normal life. Grew up in the Hollywood BS and yet has managed to avoid any legal issues, public temper tantrums, etc. Seriously, the worst you can come up with is that she knows how to haggle? Isn’t that the sign of a smart business woman?
