Well, he did want to do the Curt Cobain role but got turned down for that, so maybe someone is telling him that he’d do well in these types of roles and is enjoying him falling flat on his arse!

I wonder if the “closed set” in BR, the extra security story (even though there were pics of the cast w/o K at various points out and about) and no pics from the set in BR is all part of the image that they are trying to create mystery and massive interest by the fans here in the US? Talented as a musician, yes but as an actor he has a long way to go – potential I will grant you but there are stronger actors within his generation.FOX hired him at the height of his saleability seeing that potential but post production he blew it for them. His continued flirtation with Robsten and behaviour ie the get of my dxxx t-shirt was not what they bought into. At the GG’s he was sat at Summits table with two summit exec, not FOX. I am not counting him out but I do not have rose tinted glasses. Fame can be easily bought but credibility has to be earnt and it is too early IMO to make judgement on that.

Yes, you can get a medical certificate from your GP. HOWEVER, you still do not get paid for the first week of being ill, at least here in the UK you don’t, you have to do what they call a “self-certification”. So by the time you will get paid for being off sick, you are probably well enough to go back to work and start earning. So you STILL lose a weeks pay.
And my children are doing everything they can, but they still can’t do the ironing or the cooking, and as my hubby is at work until very late, there is no one else to do those things except me.

dear ash… let me qualify my statement above. i AM a fan of the books. just not the movies new moon and eclipse. i enjoyed twilight only because i found r/p unusual in appearence and as an actor. so much i found out more about him and what he had done in the past. after reading the books i realozed twilight could have been a lot better. i guess budjet played a part in that.

i see him playing a very good edward character in twilight. i would have really liked to see him play the part of edwards version rather than bellas.i too look at his other films and see the man portraying hischaracters well. i do not see edward.

also, he actually portrays himself that way as a “partner” (friend, buddy, lover whatever) to K regardless of whether in reality it is friend or a FWB or whatever. You can call it what you will, I call in PR, but whatever it is in reality – he is with her for photo ops and not even always on their filming set. So, as far as I am concerned, they are trying to portray themselves as connected in some way or another to everyone not just the tabloids. He is asked about her in interviews not necessarily about Twilight as evidenced last week at the GG. He may not have answered the question, but he was asked. It is everywhere. Maybe that is just a cudos to Summit, IDK but to me it erodes his individuality and charisma as R.

One other thing the strength it takes to keep those secrets hidden will destroy him and tire him out. it will only lead to drugs and drinking and to hide the pain he feels inside!!! Again so sad

To satre bleu: No I’m not heartbRoken. I just say my own opinion. Holland is famous for it, you can say what you want, doesn’t matter where. If you’re on television or not. Last year’s MTV Movie Awards, if they were hosted here in Holland, they never beeped the words of Peter Facinelli away. I know you could hear them live since MTV was too late with the beep, AND I WAS FREAKING WATCHING IT, from 4.30 in the morning till 6.00. I just needed to see who was going to win. To my dissapointment Twilight got away with all the awards they were nominated for. I voted for Emma Watson, Johnny Depp and for best movie I remember HP and the Hangover, couldn’t choose so I voted for both XD I’m glad Twilight isn’t nominated for the OSCARS.

Right now I’m listening to Jeff Buckley and honestly I don’t know, I don’t know if I want Rob to play him. I think James Franco is a better choice, he looks like Jeff, don’t know if James can sing. Never heard him sing. Rob can sing of course, I mean who doesn’t melt for his voice? But as I see it, James fits Jeff’s picture more than Robert. I know I don’t have a lot arguments why I think James is a better choice then Robert but he has something what Robert misses.

I understand that much and right now it is about selling yourself and promoting yourself. But THATS people in general. That is what normal people do!…for instance if you go to an interview you have to understnad that you are ALSO competing with other people for that job. The world is a VERY competative place for not just actors but for regular people like you and me. So you have to market yourself. Convice people on why you should be choosen over the other people who also want the job you want. Thats how it works. That does NOT make Rob a sell out or a guy who plays games because. If it is a game I would like to say that he plays it very well considering how strongly some of you feel about him and the choices he is making. Don’t you get it? Life is one big game! Some choose to cheat their way through life, some tap out, and others try to start all over again. Rob gets it. He is not stupid. He is just playing it by the ear for the time being. He will not play forever..but alot of young actors have to play to win a spot in Hollywood forever. Look at Haley, Clooney, Will Smith and all thoses successful actors. They are here because they played the game and won. Its Rob’s turn so please dont misunderstand him or the choices he’s making because he’s doing this to earn his spot amongs the big dogs that’s all. You wouldnt understand becuase your not in the position he’s in.

oh, and btw, I totally “get it”. I just don’t like what I see. Oh well, right? I come here to read and share my thoughts with people who share that similar frustration. Queenie I COMPLETELY agree! But damn how is going to do that when you and SOOO many other people won’t let it happen. I dont see him as Edward Cullen. I mean that’s his Executive Summary! Yes! Thats what has made him. That name will forever follow him because that IS what made him but I can overlook it because that is not all he is to me.While he IS good at playing angsty/brooding men..I think he has the potiental to be something greater. I totally respect that we disagree on this. That is totally ok. You are very passionate about defending him – that is ok too.
I am just sharing my point of view that for me his image has been tarnished by the acts that HE has done. There are things that HE has done that I find a turnoff as to who he is. As I stated above, I personally am going through my process – not requiring others to go with me. For me, who you hang out with absolutely affects my impression of you when that is all that I have to go on. If you prove yourself at being extremely good at your craft, then I will respect you as an expert craftsman at your trade. R has lost me on my perception of him and not come close to winning me over on being a great actor. But he should be thankful for people like you. And, I hope that he will. As we all know, never say never.
Also, I am not a T fan. I have not seen the movies, read the books, etc. I saw R on some interviews last year, then I saw the MTV awards show where K put her hand in his face, etc. My opinions of him are taken from his interviews and the photographs that are out there of him. Twilight and the K are everywhere with him – even when he was alone and talking on the red carpet at the GG about WFE. And, IMO – he feeds the frenzy with his remarks and actions. So, IMO – right now it is very hard to see him as ANYTHING but part of the T crap. As I said above, Summit has done very well for itself.

Nothing much planned for the weekend. But I had some great news tonight. I’m going to be an Auntie again. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are expecting their first baby in July!!

Oh, do you remember when Delooney “leaked” those pic from Eclipse of E and B on the bed, and Summit were taking her to court for leaking them when she wasn’t supposed to? Well, it was the court case on Monday!! We’re waiting to fins out what the judge decides to do to her. Personally, I hope they make an example of her!

trying to stay specific to R and K and the images that they project. I have seen K’s work and she has been around MUCH longer than R and quite frankly she has always had the same “IMAGE” but she is now just more vocal. My comments reflect my opinions of the images (as I see them) of R and K based upon their words, actions and interviews.

Enough with the “hate” words. You can have your opinion as well as I and the others who come here. By the way, if you haven’t noticed, there are all sorts of opinions here.

Whether or not the opinions of the 2 of us matter to “people who count” depends on how you define the term, does it not? I know that “people who count” to me, care very much about my opinions and respect them. I hope that the same is true for you. Peace.
