Lisa Marie PresleyLISA Marie Presley is undergoing Scientology counseling to help her recover from an frightening emotional collapse, it has been claimed.

According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, Lisa Marie — the daughter of late rock legend Elvis Presley — suffered a terrifying collapse at her $14 million estate in England and has fled back to the United States for emergency treatment at the Church of Scientology.

“Lisa Marie just lost it,” a source said.

“She started freaking out and burst into tears, crying: ‘I can’t take any more! I can’t take any more!’

“Just after putting the twins down for a nap, she collapsed on the floor. She screamed and sobbed: ‘I just can’t handle it!’

“Michael raced to her side and scooped her up in his arms. He held her tenderly. It seems like everything had hit her at once.

“Lisa Marie’s a fervent Scientologist, and it was Michael’s idea that she turn to her faith for comfort.

“Lisa agreed. Then she begged him to get her back to L.A. to be with her mother, her older children and to be near the Scientology Centre she’s grown to love. She told Michael: ‘I need them to get my head clear, and I need their guidance.’”

    Same thing happened to Lisa McPherson on Clearwater Florida in 1995. Ironically, the breakdown was caused by Scientology, and Scientology’s solution was to tie her to a bed for 17 days where she eventually died of dehyration and malnutrition. The autopsy found that she was emaciated and covered in bug bites.

        What Bert posted is absolutely true. This Cult paid the family of Lisa for killing her while she was in their care (and I use that word very loosely here).

        What’s truly frightening is the number of suicides that have occurred in this cult for their very small numbers.

    Scientology does not believe in mental illness, so they won’t help.
    I fear this will end badly.
    You’d think that if someone had mental or physical issues, you would consult a pro medical practitioner, not a bunch of science fiction quacks, but hey , what do we know?
    That being said, I don’t have much sympathy for the rich who waste their money on foolishness. I do feel for the true victims of the COS, and money from the wealthy keeps repression over the staff and rank and file members, and their world team of lawyers who squash critics like bugs.

    I hope Lisa has a complete and quick recovery. A lot of people put her down but she witnessed a tragedy when her daddy died, she was only 9. I know that had Elvis not left she would be a much happier person because he adored her and would have given her love, comfort and guidance in a lot of her life.

      so maybe she should’ve tried in her 43yrs of her life to actually get ‘real’ psychiatry help(which is what most kids do after they loose a parent) instead of believeing that abunch of aliens are actually gonna ‘save’ her someday, she wouldve probably been alot happier in life and not all gloomy and snobby like she always is and then maybe ppl wouldnt ‘put her down’ and critizise her so much. having a belief in God could also be a BIG help for her as well.

It took 45 minutes when it should have taken 5 minutes. Scientology is and always has been a criminal organization. They’re a cross between the Moonies and the Mafia.     It is amazing that the critics bring up Lisa McPherson time and time again. And time and time again they fail to mention that the cororner who said she was tied to a bed, was dehydrated and malnurished, recanted those findings and eventually resigned in disgrace for making false reports.

    It is also amazing that Scientology has so many critics, who seemingly have nothing to do but criticize a belief system that has been investigated by the IRS, the FBI and various court authorities wordwide — and their findings seem to define Scientology has a religion.

    The critics hide behind the veil of “freedoms” when they simply want to destroy a church that they do agree with philosophically.

      What Mike fails to mention, probably because he’s a Scientology Office of Special Affairs internet handler, is that Scientology settled with Lisa’s family in a wrongful death civil case and paid them money. It was a sealed agreement so now Scientology at least doesn’t have a dollar figure for people to wave, they would have fought the McPherson family indefinitely if the terms were open. On the other hand we always hear the dollar amount for the recent lawsuits against the Catholic church.

      Actually the story about that private in the Australian army committing suicide after being hounded by Scientology, at least the man’s brother blamed them, was in the mainstream Australian media. Scientology charged him $27,000 for one month of courses.

    Has anybody ever thought maybe she is suffering from post pardom depression? Alot of women suffer from it from a mild case to a severe case. Marie Osmond is one that suffered from a severe case. She suffered from it so badly that one morning she handed the children over to the babysitter,got into a car and drove to a hotel in Las vegas and was planning to kill herself.Thank god she came to her senses.

      yes post pardom depression is most likely the case but even if that were the case most women do get help for that and take antibiotics for their depression(ie. brooke shields) and they turn out fine shortly after however since lisas cult doesnt believe in that she has to suffer with her disease, her twins are almost 2in a half and shes still a wreck…. well that says a alot and for that reason i really dont feel sorry for her cause there are cures for whatever depression shes suffering from, its nobodys problem but her own for not choosing to get the proper help, shes only putting herself, husband and those poor children through hell.
