Melissa Etheridge’s Ex Still Being a Sourpuss!

Melissa EtheridgeMELISSA Etheridge has infuriated her former partner!

Tammy Lynn Michaels is said to be furious about Melissa’s romance with new love Linda Wallem — because she’s convinced that the two women were having an affair before they split.

“This is crushing for Tammy,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“It hurt twice as much for her to find out that Melissa was cheating on her with her best friend.”

Tammy, 36, gave birth to the couple’s twins — son Miller and daughter Johnnie Rose — in 2006.

The separation got nasty after Tammy sued Melissa to increase the “galimony” payments she receives, now reportedly $2,000 a month.

        To Universal Mind, In my lifetime I have committed my share of sins. No one can say that he or she hasn’t, but I have found that God is a forgiver of sin and a changer of lives. I am like Pilate in the Bible, ‘I find no fault in Him’. He is a good and loving God, and He loves all. He doesn’t want us to live lives that steal our peace and destroy us.

      I always found it funny how God brought down his wrath on Sodom and Gomorrah and all those wicked sinners. And then while Lot and his daughters were in a cave where the sisters get their father drunk and have sex with him to preserve his seed. So God thinks being gay is a sin but raping your drunk father is ok? Hmmmmmm ok, go for it Jean. Hop on Pop as Dr Suess might say.

        No where does it say in the Bible that what Lot’s daughter’s did was ok…it was a sin, to be sure. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for collective depravity of the entire city. God gave them many chances to repent, and they would not. God said he would spare anyone who did, and they did not. You cannot compare what Lot’s daughters did in that cave, a single act of depravity on their part, which they may well have repented of, to a century or more of ingrained, unrepentant, colossal sin of an entire region. Stop trying to twist the truth to fit your own agenda.

        We are all leaving soon theoretically speaking–Margaret Cho included…whether we live another 10 minutes or 100 years, it’s not long, and pitifully, Margaret will have all of eternity to wish she had prepared herself for the Rapture as well.

      Um, Jean, you’re reading from the worst translation of the Bible in the history of the book. Second, there is no mention of homosexuality in the Bible at all. The Sodom and Gomorrah story is one about your duty (yes, yours) to give hospitality to the stranger. You are not God, nor are you a speck in the eye of God. You are a bigot, exactly the person Jesus would have said, “Get away from me, Satan!”

        Theologian: Wrong. The Bible has alot to say on homosexuality, in both the Old and New Testament. Leviticus, Romans, 1 Corinthians. Sodom and Gomorrah had nothing to do with “hospitality.” It had to do with the men of the city, both young and old, demanding the Angels of God be handed over to be raped by them.
        Don’t distort the Truth…as the words of Savior would be directed straight at you: “Get thee behind me, Satan.”

      Are you serious? so basically go tell everyone who has ever committed a sin the same thing. God would never validate any lifestyle that is immoral. No one sin is greater than the other. you should take heed to that. Pleasureable to you thats nice but its not for everyone many women are pleasured with out penertration and that’s all you most likely can provide. Many look at homosexuality as just same sex relations and not at the relationships them selves. Far more straight couples divorce faster than most gay couples which i beleive is because WE find true happiness and acceptence with our partners. Your not God so don’t judge love is love and its not for any of us to say who can love who.

      Amanda: Sometimes the truth is hard to take. Jean is correct about God’s opinion of homosexuality. That comes straight from the Bible, the Torah, The Koran. Take it up with God if you are angered by His rules.

    I have always liked Melissa Etheridge’s music, and as proud of her for coming out. But I am more than disappointed with her for how she ha delt with the break up. If 2K a month is all she is giving her ex she must not think much of the lost relationship, or the twins she had a part in brnging into their lives. She can certainly afford a reasonable monthly settlement, and 2K isn’t it, not even if her ex-girl lived here in MN! I love you Melissa, but do the right thing!

    BUT for the article, I have to agree IVAN… 2K a month,, seriously from a rock star….. you can’t live on 2k a month where i live, LET alone L.A or NY or whatever they live… I”m sure Tammy got other things like houses etc.. but cash alimony of 2k from Melissa is a SERIOUS slap in the face for someone who GAVE birth to her twins…….

    She is paying $2K a month ALIMONY (galimony) NOT Child Support.. two completely different things. The child support payment is not mentioned. Child support, I am sure, is much more as it’s based on a percentage of the total income. Alimony is an “extra” payment sometimes given.

    I have read in previous articles as well as this one that she is paying 2k a month in alimony (not sure about child support). Anyway, 2k a month is very little — and she can afford to pay more. However, we don’t know the entire story but in my opinion she brought this young girl into the limelight so she should take care of her along with their children.

White supremists made the same claim… that they were the ones who were the victims of bigotry for having a different opinion. It’s nothing but a defense mechanism. Scripture also comments on stoning your children and selling your daughter into slavery. Anyone who doesn’t recognize that Stripture was written by fallible men who interpreted the word of God through their own opinions, beliefs, and the customs of their times needs a slap upside the head. Scripture also says not to judge others and that it is God who will judge all of us. He put all of us on this earth for a reason, and that includes gay people. God makes no mistakes…

Then she gives her a “galamony” of 2,000 dollars a month!!!! with all the money she has! That is worse than what men get away with. As a matter of fact no court would allow a man to get away with something like that!!! Melissa please… stop acting like a man! Stop making children just to be in the news and stop hurting people that love you. Give me a break… and while your at it why don’t you go and fix your double chin?     Self-proclaimed “Theologian.” You’re not the brightest bird on the perch, are you? The Bible specifically mentions homosexuality and distinguishes the passive and active acts of homosexuality in the original Greek in 1 Corinthians 6:9 and says that these offenders will not, along with thieves, adulterers, etc, will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God. See also Romans 1. This passage is unequivocal in its condemnation of homosexuality/lesbianism. There are plenty of other passages – Genesis, Leviticus, Jude, Corinthians, and more – that condemn homosexuality. Scripture militates against many sexual sins and homosexuality certainly DOES NOT get a pass just because some want to distinguish it as though it were a biogenetic cultural endemic like, say, race. It is not. It is a sexual predilection without procreative preservation or function. Thus, it is not perpetuated as a genuine people group might be. This invalidates the concept of “bigotry” being applied to an actionable belief that a given sexual preference, or even orientation, is unnatural and wrong, anymore than being prejudiced against adultry or incest is bigotry. In fact, there is a more solid biblical case for legitimating incest than any other sexual practice besides that between non-blood related husbands (males) and wives (females) – note, Sara and Abram/Sarah and Abraham, from whence the Jewish race and religion were birthed (literally!). Would you not call someone a “bigot” who prejudiced themselves against the Jews as on the notion that they are “bunch of inbred Semites”? I understand the difficulty of finding love in an imperfect world. It’s hard to help those who have found what they believe to be love along the lines of scripture. But, no one says you have to believe in scripture. If you don’t believe what it says about homosexual and the purity of the male/female bond as the only one scripture ever propagated, either by direct statements or examples.

      As for Melissa, she is paying 2K per month palimony. She is also paying child support, she is also covering most of Tammy and the twins living expenses on top of paying for the twins private education. She has been in 2 LTR relationships, 2 children in the first, 2 children in the second and is providing for all 4. I think she’s doing her fair share. Tammy just doesn’t want to work and has said so herself. She wants to be a stay at home mom and be supported for doing it.

    Melissa doesn’t just give Tammy $2k a month alimony, she pays for all of her expenses, and for the childrens expenses too. The $2k is just for Tammy. When Tammy went to court to claim more money, Melissa’s lawyer proved in court how Melissa was paying all the bills Tammy had directly. That’s why the alimony wasn’t increased.

    I have no idea how much Melissa actually pays Tammy a month, but it isn’t $2k. That’s her ‘pocket money’.
