MIRANDA Lambert says being happy is starting to affect her career — because it makes it difficult to write songs!

The country music star — who’s engaged to Blake Shelton, has lost weight and has multiple Grammy nominations — admits she has writer’s block.

“Being happy is horrible for songwriting, especially for country music. We just want to write about leaving and sadness,” Lambert, 27, says in the March issue of Ladies Home Journal. “I have to put myself in a dark place if I want to write something good.

“Blake is outdoorsy, outspoken and really funny.

“I used to have no sense of humor. Everything was a big deal. I’ve gotten so much better about not taking things too seriously — and Blake is the reason why.

“We were just friends for a long time. We wrote songs together. He ended up getting divorced and eventually we fell in love.”

Miranda recently revealed she’s looking forward to walking down the aisle.

“I’m looking forward to getting married and just doing it, ya know? … We’ve been engaged six months now already and it’s kind of flown by, but just taking that next step and kind of becoming a woman and moving on in life,” she said.

Shelton says he’s letting Lambert do all the planning.

“Last I heard [the wedding date] was in the spring, but that’s a constantly changing event,” he said.

“Miranda is going to do this exactly how she wants to do it and I’m staying the hell out of the way.”
