Angelina Jolie to Adopt Fourth Child?

Angelina JolieANGELINA Jolie is reportedly set to adopt a fourth child.

The Tourist actress wants to open up her and partner Brad Pitt’s home to a four-year-old girl called Leah who lost her entire family in the earthquake that devastated Haiti in 2010.

Angelina — who already has three adopted children, Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, and Zahara, six, and naturally conceived Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — first met the child in February 2010, a month after the natural disaster, and the child is expected to go visit her and Brad and their other children before the adoption is authorized in the latter stages of this year.

“Angelina’s lawyers are in the process of getting an authorization so Leah can spend some time with her in America,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper. “That’s standard procedure, basically they need to make sure Leah will adapt well.

“A lot of observers from groups such as the Red Cross are ensuring that Angelina is treated like anybody else and not fast tracked, which would be viewed insidiously.”

There are worries adoption authorities in the small Caribbean nation may not be able to cope with the massive interest in Angelina’s plans, but the 35-year-old screen star determined to get through the “final steps” to adopt Leah.

“There is also a concern about the Haitian authorities not being able to deal with such international pressure. But for now, Angelina is almost reaching the final steps of the grueling adoption process,” said the source.

“If Leah fits well within her family in the States, she will be able to adopt her.”

    Oh, and if you read the whole page, it says that excepetions can be made when it comes to the “no more than two birth children” rule. Which I take to mean, that a bribe (as much money as they can squeese out of you) is the exception.

      She and Brad are legally married. Brad and her are in the twins birth certificate as married, and here in France you can’t make that claim falsely like in the USA. I am pretty sure they have to be married otherwise they can be in a lot of trouble in Europe since we recognize documentation to be legally binding and it would be punishible by law if they had lied in the twins birth certificate. They have to be legally married. There is a lot of speculation that they married in Africa when Shilou was born but I never saw anything other than tabloids on that. I do know they did signed the birth certificates as married.

      On the whole Haiti thing, If they are really adopting from there they can adopt the child on the basis of income. Haiti allows people with a certain income to adopt as long as they can prove they can pay for their care till 18 even if the parents were to die. They would have to prove the child wont be homeless or in foster care if something was to happen to them.

    Are any of the people giving all of the negative feedback going to adopt or take care of any kids. more power to her she has the financial stability to take care of as many as she wants whether or not if she has nannies, my grandmother had 20 children and sometimes they probably wish they had a nanny but the older ones took care of the smaller ones while my grandmother worked that is nothing more than what they are doing they pay a nanny to watch there kids while they work, I remember once when my mother told me to watch my brother’s and sister’s and I asked how much are you paying and she played a song by Shirley Ceasar “NO CHARGE”.

    They probably are not going to adopt. These people sit on here and think that there opinions in someway count. However Angelina just said there were no new plans right now. This is one of those insider stories. A couple of weeks ago she was adopting from Namibia. You will never get through to these people Ms P.

    Hell, Why not adopt a 100 while their at it. No Mommy or Daddy duties to deal with, just hand them over to nannies to raise for you. They have to do something to get their name in the news right now. She’s beginning to look older now and he is old by hollywood standards. Gotta do something to keep your name in the news otherwise they’ll be talking about somebody else.

    I don’t feel it is my place to judge her. She is helping find a home for kids who don’t have one. They have the resources to provide them with a very nice life. What is wrong with wanting to be a mom? I have no issue with the possibility that because she has adopted before the procedure and wait time could be condensed. It is no easy task. The process is time consuming, stressful, and expensive. Probably for each country she would have to be vetted but knowing that she has been so before should count for something.

    guys please stop saying negative things about angelina, just be proud of her, she’s doing good things, she’s helping a child to have a complete family again, and no matter what y’all say these kids that she adopted will always love her and thank her for giving them a good life, remember God says “help those who are in need” and that is what she’s doing, God is using her (angelina) to help those kids.. i just hope that u will just support her ad take her as an inspiration so u can do good things too instead of getting mad at her just bcoz of all the issues about her in the pass..

      Helping Pax adjust by renaming a 4-year old kid to match the other collectables and go off (after a few days) to the Wanted-movie-set without staying at home to bond with the kid? Yeah, that’s the way to go with adoptions.
