CHRISTINA AGUILERA: POP DIVA CHRISTINA AGUILERA IS HOPING TO REDEEM HERSELF AT GRAMMY AWARDS

Posted by Adam

Christina AguileraCHRISTINA Aguilera is hoping to redeem herself.

The singer/actress will try to shake off her disastrous Super Bowl performance — where she fluffed her lines while singing the National Anthem — with a tribute to Aretha Franklin at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards.

“This is a huge night for Christina so she’s leaving nothing to chance,” a source told the PopEater website.

“All the lyrics to her number will be in a TelePrompter at the event so it will be almost impossible for her to mess up again.

“You would be a fool to count Christina out.

“She has been down before and always found her way back. Sure, she’s going through a lot and yes she is terrified, but mark my words, on Sunday when she opens the Grammys, no one will be talking about the Super Bowl anymore. This girl is in the to win it.”

Recent reports claimed Aguilera’s staff have come up with a plan to persuade her to get some help.

But Aguilera found out about their plan — and threatened to fire all of them for even suggesting that she has a problem.

“They wanted to talk to her carefully about the issue, but they’re not going to because they are scared after she threatened to fire them,” a source said.

“Her people desperately want this to come out so she will get help.”

Oh, no worries at the Grammys. They allow lip-synching there. Fake breasts and auto-tune, that’s our modenr music!

    • Sand

*No*. It’s the *National Anthem*. She didn’t even bother to finish *rehearsing*. I guess that because this performance didn’t involve gyrating like a cheap five-dollar stripper it wasn’t important enough for her to put any more effort into it than she usually does. Aguilera is nothing more than a second-rate Britney Spears and even *Spears* isn’t worthwhile.

  • alison

enough already—the poor thing made a mistake. get over it.

  • IT

Her performance was not disastrous! She didn’t have to stop in the middle of the performance–that would be what I would classify as disastrous. She got her words mixed up but she kept going and got through. Cut her some slack, she’s human and we’ve seen her perform “The Star Spangled Banner” many other times with no problems, so it’s clear she CAN do it.

WE ARE ALL HUMAN…SO MAYBE SHE FLUBBED 2 ANTHEMS…BUT YOU GUYS SHOULD ALSO CK YOUR WORDING ON THIS PAGE…
WHAT YOU SAID WAS…This girl is in the to win it.
WHAT IT SHOULD READ IS…..THIS GIRL IS IN IT TO WIN IT….
CUT HER SOME SLACK… SHE MAY NEED A TelePrompter BUT YOU ALSO ON THE OTHER HAND COULD USE A “PROOF READER”….
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING HER SING ON SATURDAY…

    • Sand

She won’t be “singing”. She’ll be in a Safe-Zone where she can lip-sync her “music” (ha!) and grind her breasts & butt into the camera. The only thing that will be missing is the lecherous men feeding dollar bills into her outfit.

Help? For what? Unless she has been She forgot the lyrics? I am sure other people have done that too. Once, during the 2006 Grammy performance of Lady Marmalade, one of them forgot the lyrics too.
When they use their voice like they do to embellish the song, it is common that they get confused.
Christina is great. She will do a great job during the Grammy Awards this Sunday.Guaranteed.

Offensive. Terrible rendition, sang with her ego. Screwed up the words. I muted her out in disgust about 1 minute into her debasement of The National Anthem.

    • Joe

I agree all she did was display her ego, did not show one once of patriotism. I thing she feels her looks and body will get her what she wants. That last note was flat she can’t stand close to Sandi Patty

      • Saul

Maybe before you come out and insult other people for making a mistake, you should check your own writing. It is ounce NOT once, and its think not thing. Dont get all up on her because she made a mistake when you dont even know how to use the English language correctly.

    • Manuel

Wow, why are you so angry for? Showing off her ego? She looked a little nervous to me. I think you problem is that you feel threatened by beautiful successful people. Your hate towards Christina is just a reflection of your life.

  • Ivory

Yea, so she messed up we all do. Get over it already! I can’t even begin to fathom how nerve racking it must have been to get up and sing in front of thousands of people. Anybody would have been nervous and probably even would have froze and ran off the stage. But she didn’t do that she simply kept going and ended the song gracefully like a real American would have done. I like the way Christina sings, she gives you something to look forward to. I like watching her perform cause she never cease to amaze me with her bigger than life voice. Just imagine even if she didn’t mess up there wouldn’t have been anything to talk about around the water cooler come Monday morning.

Hello Ivory —- “So she messed up…Get over it already?”

Really. She’s a professional and should at least know the words to our national anthem.

How’s this… you go in for surgery. You need your right leg amputated. Instead, they amputate your left leg.

Ivory…. so the doctor messed up. Get over it already!

      • Sherri

Pete…I’ll just bet you forgave Michael Vick though, huh?

      • Manuel

Wow, that is nothing to be compared to. Messing up lyrics isn’t like messing up surgery. Surgery on a human life can’t be compared to lifeless lyrics to a song. I don’t even know the lyrics and when I watched her sing I didn’t notice she got the words wrong. If anything you should get over it, it is JUST a song. Don’t bother with “blah blah blah its the national anthem, blah blah blah” go show me your patriotism by your actions not defending some stupid song.

      • Steph. E.

Pete, are you really saying that having your leg amputated and messed up song is the same thing?? Really. The Dr. has a chart and can recheck it before he starts. That is a stupid mistake. We can’t determine what our brain is going to do to us at a moment’s notice. Have you ever been talking to someone and just went blank and forgot what you were going to say?? Everyone is different, we all make mistakes. It was a song. Why can’t we make the bible and song’s to God as important as we make the flag and the national anthem? Priority’s people.

there are some smokin’ hot pics of her at: http://LxCURL.com/picgallery

I think it’s a dishonor to out country to take her lack of preperation in singing the Anthem. I believe those that tweek the melody of it instead of singing the original version are also disrespectful, only on purpose. It was however unfortunate, and I don’t think it will colapse society as we know it. LOL..After all, the only people that make no mistakes, are those that choose to do nothing at all.

    • Steph. E.

Bob, I hate to say this but the melody of the national anthem was originaly the melody to a drunken British song. (We researched it) I do agree with you though. She should have rehearsed it better and left it as is. But as humans we were designed to mess up. Only one is perfect and we were not ment to be.

  • JackieMichele

I personally think it is more of a dishonor to our country to have so many illiterate people who cannot even put together a readable sentence. The reason why I am not mad is because I know through past performances that she does know the words, and as for her not finishing rehearsal, that may have been a sound check. It is routine for singers to not finish songs during a sound check. And even if it was rehearsal, how would finishing that song ease her nerves when the line she flubbed was sang at rehearsal but not in the performance. So, technically, she rehearse but her nerves got the best of her.
This is a woman that did what many others did not, even the great Whitney Houston. She sang it acapella, and she sang it LIVE. As for her ego, name one singer who has not shown their ego. The national anthem is written to be 58 seconds. All singers have sung extended notes and attempted harmonizing. So, honestly, I am not sure why people are acting like she is the first to do it.
Finally, while this woman has been through a lot this past year, this is the only performance to my knowledge that she has flubbed, so I highly doubt this will “break” her career. She is a professional and it will take a string of flubbed to break her career. And as for her problem….what would that be? Depression? That’s bound to happen.
No one can make you like this woman but people need to stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.

  • marcd43

I don’t have an issue with her messing up the National Anthem. That could happen to anybody. I just hope she doesn’t add extra notes to the end of each section of her song. That type of singing is old and gets annoying. Stop trying to show off your range and stick to the music!

  • aadf

ppl she made a mistake just like every other human would.
    stop acting like your perfect,
most ppl dont even know past the second line of the star spangled banner.

    you guys are hypocrites
and its old now, get over it

christina is know to give a good performance and sing her ass off
i believe in xtina and stick by her just like i always have.

    shes gonnna KILL it tonight,
she never performs bad at the grammys

Christina’s hair color went out of popularity with Marilyn, Jayne and Lana. PLEASE, get a new hair color and a lighter shade of lipstick. The hair color looks sleezy on her, which probably prompts much of the criticism of her. She simply looks trashy and it probably isn’t necessary to create that look. She might bet a lot more respect with a make-over.
