Jane Seymour Likes Being Old! Actress Jane Seymour Credits Wrinkles For Keeping Her in Work!

Posted by Adam

Jane SeymourJANE Seymour says her wrinkles have boosted her career.

The actress — who turns 60 today (Feb 15) — is convinced she’s the last actress of her age who still has “her own face” and insists her natural appearance appeals to directors looking to cast older women.

“Recently I’ve been hired a lot because I’m able to play women who are normal. I think a certain amount of wrinkles show who I am,” Jane said.

“I don’t do Botox or any of that kind of thing. And I don’t obsess over the odd wrinkled brow or laughter line because as an actress it’s incredibly important to have all the pieces moving!

“I think I’m the only woman of my age in the business who has her own face. I take care of my skin and I’m pretty religious about that. I don’t use anything expensive and I know I’m lucky to have good skin.

“I’m astounded when I watch TV shows and nobody’s face moves, or a newscaster is reading about desperate things happening in the world and her face is completely emotionless.”[imagebrowser id=975]

Jane, you are so beautiful no matter if you have wrinkles. Go girl :)

Actresses have gotten so obsessed with looking like they have stopped time in their 20s that they sacrifice their humanity for it. Of course, the Hollywood machine is greatly to blame for this as they and their unrealistic expectations have driven this push towards the plastic. Its got to be hard to stand firm and not allow yourself to be pushed and bullied into plastic surgery and botox. Even young actresses are doing it more and more. A sad, strange world.

She is a class act! I’ve always enjoyed her work, partly because she is gifted enough (and apparently humble enough) to be a vehicle for the characters she portrays rather than making her characters vehicles for her ego. Professionals don’t have to rely on artificial looks or a lot of special effects to make their projects compelling. I hope she is acting for many years to come and I suspect she will be as more movies are aimed for mature audiences…people who aren’t necessarily enthralled by the latest teen heart-throb.

Good for you. The obsession we have in the world with HOW we look as opposed to WHO we are is appalling.

Her face doesn’t look untouched and the tremendous amount of coverup or foundation shows she IS conscious of her wrinkles and wants to look younger. Without that foundation she probably looks like Zsa Zsa NOW.

She talked about not having a frozen face. That doesn’t mean she’s not going to wear sunscreen and face cream and take care of herself. She deals with her wrinkles in a natural way and foundation protects the skin too. She looks lovely and you are rude.
