Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson has a thing for dogs!

The actress — who’s rumored to be romancing his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart — says he has adopted a puppy to alleviate the crushing loneliness he feels living his life in hotels.

“I know it’s sad. A lot of actors have a bunch of people who kind of just go up and stay with them for like two months, like an entourage,” Rob said.

“But my friends, their egos are too big. They’d be like, ‘I’m not part of your entourage. I’ll stay in a free hotel for a bit if it’s in New York or LA but I’m not going to come out to some random town in the sticks.’

“But that’s kind of why I adopted the puppy. It’s from a shelter and he was going to be put down. I only got him two or three days ago and they only keep them for 10 days.

“He’s been freaked out. It’s funny. I got a private plane here from Louisiana, where I was filming Twilight, so he came out of the shelter and the next day he’s on a private plane. A bit like Lady And The Tramp.”

    I read this article on another site yesterday and posted a comment about it here because people were commenting that they didn’t believe that he gets lonely. I would think this would be a clue to the Robstens that perhaps they were wrong about KS and Rob being together… why else would he get lonely on the set of Breaking Dawn! They are just friends and co-workers.. that’s it.

      Not surprised, she can’t act. Rob and the rest of the cast did a good job. KS came across as bossy, self centered and had to have the final say in every scene. I think she emasculated poor Robs character, in the book Edward was a very strong character, the strongest of everyone in the book. In the movie version Bella comes across as the strong one and everyone bows to her will. Summit ruined this book, and I seriously doubt BD will be any better. Which is why I will not pay to see it, how ever I will go to see Robert in any of his films, just can’t watch this girl attempt to act. JMO

        Yeah, I didn’t like how Eclipse (movie) ended. In the movie, they wrote it to make Bella seem so self-empowered, when in the book, she her real reason for choosing Edward was because she couldn’t live without him.

        Movie would not be good with wimpy little Bella. It shows the progression of the character from young girl to strong vampire. The book doesn’t always translate into a good movie. Different media requires ajustments. Rob understands this too bad you don’t!

        Ummmmmm, you’re right. In all of the book, Edward was very strong and very much his own person. The movies portrayed his character, weak and dependent on others. When I look at the movies, I see a totally different character than when I read the books. In the Breaking Dawn book, he catered to Bella’s every whim, like he was whipped to no end… so can you imagine what that movie is going to be like?? Ugh!

      I understand perfectly, why ruin a good thing? Edward comes across as a wimp in the movie. Bella comes across as a bully. In the book, Edward was very strong as was clearly in charge of the family, and she looked to him for guidance. In the movie, its like she is running the show, also she does not come across as very femine at all. At lease the book balanced out the two characters , now it’s like looking at either two men or two woman interacting. I will admit Twilight was fine, could relate to the characters, but it’s been down hill from there.

    ummmmm- you are so right about Eclipse, I’ve been saying the same thing about what KS did with Bella’s character. I the books Bella doesn’t get her self esteem until the end of Breaking Dawn. That’s all part of the characters growth and the strength she finds when she is finally truly able to be with the one she loves. In the world she was meant to be apart of.

Most importantly none of RP family have supported her at any of her non Twilight Saga move premieres & at one of them they were in the same area too this was WTTR the day after the Eclipse premiere yet his sisters went to a Sam Bradley concert in the same week

I did see that Xmas photo and the fact that neither of them stood near her was curious. In that type of situation, one parent would usually be on either side, IMO.         Do any of you remember the interview with Rob on David Letterman last year? His parents were in the audience and Rob was reading some e mails he got from his dad. Well, in one of them Rob read that his dad was saying he didn’t like these “gestures” that celebrities were doing and thought it was rude or something like that. The show was right after the finger flipping incident that Kristen did. I honestly felt like Rob’s dad was indirectly referring to Kristen. You can tell that they must really be disgusted and put off by her. I can only imagine what Rob’s mom has to say to Rob about Kristen…..I’m sure nothing good at all!

        Where does it say that the photo was taken that day? And if they had been away, they would have made sure that the tree was DOWN before they went knowing they would be back AFTER January 6th. And considering that Rob and Bitchface were on the IOW for NYE/NY DAY 2009/2010, THEY could have taken it down BEFORE his parents got home.
