ALEC Baldwin says his he best films are the ones that can grip a viewer’s attention no matter how they are feeling at the time.
Speaking to CNN, the 30 Rock star — a three-time Golden Globe winner — says he admires several classic Hollywood dramas.
“There are movies you watch that are very good movies, but you have to be in the mood for them,” the actor said.
“I always tell people that a really great movie is a movie that puts you in the mood for the movie while you watch [it]… If you watch Lawrence Of Arabia or… To Kill A Mockingbird or if you watch… On The Waterfront, the movie really, really just puts a spell on you. Whether you want to watch [the film] or not, you’re going to sit down and you’re going to watch that movie until it’s over.
“If I could go back in time and do any movie that I wanted to, it would be any movie where I could have caught either Barbara Stanwyck or Elizabeth Taylor while they were single.
“I would like to have been working with them while they were in-between husbands.”
Baldwin recently dished the dirt on his next career move.
“I really do want to do other things,” he admitted. “I just sold a pilot package to NPR for a radio interview show.
“I’ve been doing this non-stop for 32 years, started in 1980. I’m one of those people, I’ve just worked and worked non-stop. And I would like to try something else for a while.”
