Lisa Marie Presley Quits Her UK Home

The 43-year-old star — the daughter of late rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley — had moved to Tunbridge Wells, in Kent, South East England, last year to escape the pressures and “gossip” of Los Angeles life.

But after just six months in the sedate town she has decided it isn’t exciting enough for her and has decided to return to the US with her music producer husband Michael Lockwood and their two-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley.

“Lisa Marie thought she’d love life in England but simply couldn’t settle,” a source said.

“She wanted to get away from Hollywood but ended up missing it. Although she enjoyed the scenery in Kent, the lifestyle wasn’t for her.”

It is not yet known if Lisa Marie — who was previously married to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage — has put the property on the market.

She paid $16 million for the 11-bedroom home which is situated on 90-acres of land and even has its own lake.

After Lisa Marie first moved to the UK she claimed she had fallen in love with the British way of life.

“We have found the quality of life so much more enriching and fulfilling,” she said.

“The civility, the culture, the people and its beauty have reawakened me and have smoothed out some of my bleak and jagged views about people and life.”

    no surprise here she loves attention and wasnt getting enough of it in england she claims she left hollywood from all the gossip(which nobody was even tlking about her) but its funny that now shes leaving her ‘peacful’ life in england to return to all the gossip in hollywood.

    I can relate – I left NYC and moved to Brittany thinking I would like the laid back style. Was I wrong! It was like watching grass grow 24/7. I’ve returned to the states and I am now looking for a vacation home in Nicaragua where I can spend two or three weeks there and six or eight weeks in the states.
    I hope Lisa Marie Presley finds what she’s looking for. I did – excitement of NY/LA/Memphis and the tranquility of Nicaragua.

    why is she always pouting her lips??? not to be mean but doesnt she know that shes not pretty and by pouting her lips to try and look hot like angelina jolie doesnt do a damn thing for her but make her look pathetic as hell! she should just start smiling alil more and stop with all the ‘sultry/mean’ looks, that only wrks on hot women like angelina and megan fox.

    Hey Karen, thanks for the heads up, on Lisa’s statement. It must be a slow news day for this reporter to keep writing these lies about LMP. I just want to tell these hack journalists sometimes, to get a real journalism job, one where they don’t have to make up/pay for lies to print, lol.

      I think the newspaper should do something about it, like sack him! For a paper to let a reporter keep making up stories and lies about someone is appalling! What makes it worse is that it’s now all over the internet on various websites, some quoting The Sun article… nobody seems to check any information before they blindly copy it – does however make them all look stupid now! Lol!

    Why does it matter what expression LMP has on her face. But however she looks, smiles or not, it seems to get peoples attention. So why even comment. She has the cameras on her every where she goes so what do people expect. Its nice that she has chosen uk to bring up her children. LMP has done alot for charity and continues to do so. Its up to her if she feels like smiling or not. It must be hard having people commenting about you all the time. Especially the newpapers making crap up all the time. I say good luck to her.
