Paula Abdul to Join X Factor Panel? Simon Cowell Says Singer Paul Abdul is Being Considered For His Show!

PAULA Abdul is on the shortlist of judges for upcoming Fox show The X-Factor — according to Simon Cowell.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Cowell — who worked with Abdul on American Idol — says he’d quite like to reunite with the faded former pop diva.
“We’ve taken it down to a smaller group of people and she’s in that panel,” he said.
“But, you know, it’s more than me who makes the decision.”
Cowell said George Michael, former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and Mariah Carey also are being considered.
He denied that Katy Perry and Elton John are in the running.
“Well, he’s so grumpy nowadays, I mean, it would be like, he’d just be moaning the whole time,” Cowell said of Elton.
Abdul has previously claimed Cowell is obsessed with her.
“Of course, I miss everybody. Yes I do miss Simon,” she said.
“I think you need to take mass off and put obsess-ive. Yeah he’s obsessed with me.
“He always talks to me, we will work together some how, some way. He’s an acquired taste but I love him very much.”
