Reese Witherspoon Farted on by Elephant

Posted by Adam

Reese WitherspoonREESE Witherspoon was farted on by an elephant while shooting her new movie.

The Oscar winner stars alongside Robert Pattinson in Water for Elephants and the pair worked with several huge trunked creatures for the film.

The Twilight heartthrob has revealed the 35-year-old actress took an unexpected gust of flatulence from one of the large beasts when she was shooting a scene of circus tricks.

“Reese ended up under the elephant, who then went back on its hind legs and let out the most incredible fart directly in Reese’s face for a good 45 seconds,” Rob said.

“It shows Reese’s complete commitment to do the job because she just stood there and took it. And the elephant’s got a big a**e!”

The film stars Reese as circus performer Marlena Rosenbluth whose horse dies putting her act in jeopardy, until her husband — cruel animal trainer August Rosenbluth — buys her an elephant which leads her to find love with Robert’s vet character Jacob Jankowski.

I don’t think I would have been able to stop laughing if I were on the set of WFE that day. LOL. I like Reese, she seems to be a good person but that is just too funny. I had my doubts with her playing the part of Marlena but I think she is going to prove me wrong. LOL.

I like Reese. I think she is a great actress. My concern is that theake-up dept. made her look a little to old to be with RP’s character. Wonder how that will play out on screen?

Has anyone seen the trailer for the animation AIKRA? The article and trailer is on RobsessedPattinson and that is the film rumored for Rob to star in. It’s a bit bloody and violent but looks good for an action flick. Although it may not be up Rob’s alley. LOL.. you never know.. could be a challenge for him if he is offered the part and if he accepts. The other actors as rumored contenders and costars looks incredible.

Reese’s last movie didn’t do well, and I always think of her as a comedy actress. She was very good in LB. We’ll have to see how she does in WFE. There has been some talk about the animal abuse depicted in this movie. Some are very turned off with the whole circus animal cruelty thing. I wonder if this will affect the movie. I have a hard time seeing animals being abused even when it is just a depiction. It will have to look authentic for the movie, might be hard to see.

I hate that kind of material, abuse of animals. That’s why I didn’t read the book and I won’t see the movie either. I know it is all fake, but it’s disturbing nonetheless.

DB – I new you hadn’t read the book because you would know that the character Reese plays (Marlena) is older than Jacob (the character Rob plays). she’s not as old as her husband but older than her true love. In regard to the animal abuse it was a reality in the 30′s and obviously there was no “real” abuse in this movie but… I hope that this movie will bring the topic to the forefront and make people see. Spoiler Alter so don’t read the below if you don’t want to know how the book ends……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….SPOILER ALERT

Not to give it all away.. but lets just say.. Rosie the Elephant is the hero in the end. IMO.

DB- the realism in this book is what made this book so fantastic. It was funny, heartbreaking, wonderful and tragic. I love this book. The movie will probably tone down the animal scenes.. but I like that they are keeping to the book as much as possible.

Oh, yah.. and this is Hollywood, California the land of the animal lovers.. do you really think they would ever allow real abuse of an animal in a film. My friend is an animal trainer for the movies and her animals are like her children. They come first.

Well, of course it’s not allowed on sets. It’s just the depictions in movies still bothers me. I’m just sensitive to that sort of thing. Thanks for letting me know about Reese’s character in the book. It makes sense now.

No problem.. I totally get the whole can’t stand to see animals hurt..thing… This may sound strange but I can stand seeing a human hurt more than I can an animal. But it would be a shame if you didn’t see this movie or read this book.

Me too! I can stand it more if it is a human versus an animal. I did try to read the book. I downloaded a sample on my Kindle, but it didn’t compel me to continue. Maybe I will give it another try. And I agree with what others are saying about PETA, they can be too extreme.

Reese looks 18 in parts of this. She doesn’t look older than Rob. I think it’s just good geges. She has always looked youthful.

        or good genes.

Its amazing how PETA people show up when animals are used in movies.I believe animals should be treated nicely but I don’t agree with the some policies of PETA. I have friends(professional handlers)who shows dogs in conformation for a living and they have told me some of the stuff that PETA people have done at dog shows.

  • Carlab

Dimples, I agree. PETA takes things to the extreme. I prefer to support the human society and other Rescue groups.

I think the argument is relevent that elephants should not be held in captivity. It is cruel to train an animal to go against their nature. I am sure abuse was not used on this movie, that’s one thing PETA is good for. Having said that, animal abuse is still hate to see.
