VANESSA Hudgens says Sir Michael Caine regaled her with showbiz tales on the set of their new film.

Hudgens spent two months in Hawaii filming family adventure movie Journey 2 alongside the acting legend.

“Oh my goodness he’s amazing. That was one of my favourite things just sitting around on set and listening to him tell stories,” Vanessa revealed.

“He was such an open book of amazing knowledge and incredible stories, listening to the first time he went to Vegas with Frank Sinatra and all these incredible things.

“I admire him so much as a human being and for his body of work as well.”

Hudgens recently insisted she and Zac Efron are still “friends”.

The High School Musical costars ended their five-year relationship in December and the actress thinks that because they had been together for such a long time, there was no question they would not want to have remained a part of one another’s lives.

“After being in a relationship with someone that long, you stay friends,” she said.
