Robert Pattinson Wore Period Pants

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson says he wore “period underpants” while shooting his new movie Water for Elephants.

The hunky Twilight star believes it was the attention to the smallest detail on the set of the ’30s drama that made him produce one of his best performances to date.

“Every single thing which built the world was all totally real,” says Robert. “I even had authentic period underpants. They do actually help, as well. I actually wore them every single day. Jacqueline West, the costume designer, was unbelievable. Almost everything was real. It was crazy.”

Rob — who is dating his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart — recently revealed he believes in love at first sight.

“I think people can fall in love at first sight,” Rob said. “I think pretty much all people who love each other, had some kind of thing at first sight. I mean, there has to be some kind of moment where you, like, feel a different energy around someone.

“Generally, if you don’t notice someone ever, you’re probably not going to fall in love with them.”

        imo and only my opinion – i read it as part of a women’s book group in 2007 and imho – i would consider it a chick flick type story. seriously, it is the story of a lonely gentleman in a senior citizen’s home reliving his past escapades in a traveling circus – no mystery or intense action (except for 1 circus tent scene) with a cute ending (at least in the book). just saying… let me also say that i rarely go to see ‘chick flicks’ .. i saw ‘the notebook’ on tv.

        but others on this board LOVE the book – hopefully they will give you their opinions as well..

    Yes, I heard about this. I heard that Robert was on the rag and forgot his sanitary napkin. He had on his scarlet red period pants on but when his menstrual blood seeped through and stained his pants, the blood still showed up and he needed an immediate change of pants. Good thinking on his assistant’s behalf, as she removed her Elaine Goodrow designer jeans and gave them right to Robert who quickly put them on replacing his messy period pants.

    You need to Google Is Kristen Stewart gay. The gay sites say she is She said she is. She pretends to be straight for the sake of the movie and so she is not in trouble with Summit for creating bad pr. The real Kristen dresses like a truck driver, curses like a sailor, intimidates even manly men and is obvious to anyone by her mannerisms and over the top behavior.
    The showmance was done to cover for her as Summit was worried the teen fans would not support her playing Bella since as she said “she is so not Bella”. Rob did not want his private life on display so he played along to help the studio and investors make money.. You see EVERY movie she has been in has flopped. Summit was scared a gay girl and a celibate Catholic guy like Rob (yes he said it on video at UK Twi premiere and to movies.ie) would not sell tickets.     Your girl Kristen is a director’s and pr department’s nightmare. Not because she is gay but because of which female she is/was involved with and how she conducts herself in the line of work..

Many people have spoken up because they don’t want her presented as a role model to their teens and allowed to continue to be shocking and crude in print/video and in interviews when teens watch her every move. Many of Rob’s fans don’t want his image and career effected by being linked to her off screen. Every director knows how difficult and unprofessional she has been. While Rob talked about the movies and charmed the world, she was creating bad pr, giving the finger, saying shocking comments and glaring at fans.. She should be treated like everyone else would who behaved as she has in the line of work. Fired.

        OMG! Ashleigh, that was SOOOO uncalled for. The doctors and nurses in our hospitals work damn hard, get NO gratitude from the drunks who frequent A&E on a Friday and Saturday night, and get paid very little for doing a JOB that they LOVE!

        I know people work in hospitals, and if you ask them WHY they do it, with it’s awful hours, awful pay and daily abuse, they will tell you that they want to HELP people!

        Queen you are right, there are lots and lots of surgeons, doctors and nurses out there (i have family and friends who are)who work really hard with little sleep and rubbish pay and they really do try to help and save lives and i respect them, i couldent do their job, but there are bad ones as well..

        but im not even getting at the staff in particular, i mean the state of our hospitals is a BIG thing here,,, you cant say that they are anywhere near a decent standard.. ive had plenty of experiences and heard horror stories… dirty beds, people being kept on trolleys in corridors cos there are no beds, Superbugs spreading through patients cos the hospital is filthy, people dying cos they are left in a room and forgotten about, syringes lying on ward floors, rotton food, lack of dgnity with men and women in same wards, severe staff shortages, with one nurse looking after 30 odd severely ill patients on her own, lack of proper treatments and medications that are available in the US etc… i could go on… its not the staff’s fault, more the Governments. you know its a big thing here, the health system may be free, but it stinks and needs sorted out asap… it gets millions every year but nothing improves,, the waiting lists are also horrendous,,, people are having to pay like £100 per half hr to consult with a doctor if they need to see someone urgently…

        Most, if not ALL the staff in NHS hospitals, will TRY and do their best for their patients. It’s not their fault if the powers that be that RUN the hospitals spend money on frivalous things that are not needed.

      imo – wait until after WFE is out.. remember it is only April – our pr plan called for a slow down on the showmance (well last week certainly gave the twi r/k freaks enough to get them through the next 3 – 4 weeks) – now it will probably be just the random photos from whenever and wherever to get through the WFE promo..

      my guess (and i hope i am wrong) this summer the pr sh*t will fly again and the re-shoots of the honeymoon scene will start all the b.s. – it will be a reconciliation of they were never apart or whatever spin… oh, and Gabi and i put them in a camper to do a mall tour across the US for back to school sale time..

      I get what you are saying truth80 but not all of use hate her and not all of us hate her becuase she is with Rob. I don’t hate her… I don’t think she is a bad person. I think she is bad at the whole… public speaking thing. It actually hurts to listen to her speak half the time because she gets tongue twisted and stutters so bad she can’t complete a sentence. Her acting is much the same to me. But.. she isn’t always bad. For instance, I thought she did a pretty good job in certain parts of New Moon especially the depression parts. I kind of resent her in the way that I think she had a big part in changing Bella’s character in the movie… too far from the way she is in the books. She’s too confident and independent in the movies.. unlike Bella. They didn’t even emphisize the funny part that Bella can’t stand the smell of blood and faints at the sight of it. Ironic considering Edward is a vampire and she will someday become one. But with that said, Kristen did such a bad job in Eclipse (my favorite of the TW saga books) and I know she has input in her characters reactions..etc.. It pisses me off. I blame of course most of it on a bad script but her acting was aweful and yet she and the other got great reviews from the critics and they still said they were on the fence about Rob.?????? I thought Rob was so perfect in the proposal scene..beyond what it was in the book. He did the best he could with a bad script. Okay.. enought lecture..sorry girls. Have to run for a couple of hours. Have a good one.
