Bethany Hamilton: Audiences Are “Stoked” With Sexy Bethany Hamilton Movie Soul Surfer

Bethany HamiltonBETHANY Hamilton thinks audiences are “stoked” about Soul Surfer — the new movie based on her life.

More than seven years ago, before dawn on Halloween morning, Hamilton had her left arm taken off by a 14-foot tiger shark while they were sharing the waters off the shore of Kauai, Hawaii.

“When can I surf again?” the 13-year-old asked after emergency surgery.

Bethany returned almost immediately, hoping to help others overcoming obstacles put in front of them.

Hamilton, now 21 and on the women’s pro tour since 2007, talked about the audience’s reaction to the film.

” I thought everyone was stoked on it,” she said.

“That’s really nice. I had heard it was hard to get good feedback from L.A. because everyone can be so critical about movies. It was cool. Everyone enjoyed it, and we had a wonderful night with my family and some of my best friends.

“Of course, I want to share my faith and my love of surfing, but I want it to be natural. I didn’t want to push it on anyone. I want them to just be encouraged, see how good things can come from bad. Everyone thinks, `How horrible,’ but I see all the good that has come out of it. I’m still surfing all over the world. It’s cool to know that hopefully we can have another surfing movie on the big screen.”

      What proof do you have that God is fictional and why do you think He would micro manage peoples lives?
      Choosing to believe in what is true as opposed to what is popular is thinking for ones self

        And what proof do you have that God is real and justifies acts of suffering and horror on certain people who don’t deserve it?

        If people want to believe, they can. They just can’t say its cause they know its real cause there’s no proof for it. There are many other different religions out there, including several for God/Allah/Yahweh. Why single it out? Oh yeah, cause its the popular choice for a couple of thousand years now.

        It is not the most popular anymore, and that is why we are in such terrible times. If you took the time to read the Bible you would see that. If there was no evil or bad things in this world then there would be no good. Jesus never ever said bad things would not happen to good people. He just expects us to have faith. The faith that Bethany Hamilton and her family has does not come easy. You have to work for it, accept it, and share it. I was truly inspired to work on my faith after watching this movie, and will never forget it. I don’t just thank Bethany and her family, but I thank God for this inspiring movie. It was far more to this movie than surfing.

      Anthony&Jimmy&chasingKendra-Have you heard the saying that God will not put people through something they cannot handle.Maybe God told her in some way not to go out surfing that morning but she choose to ignore the warning.Its up to us to listen to his warning.

        If “God” does not put people through something they cannot handle, then why do so many people commit suicide each year? I don’t believe in “God” and I think it’s best if people don’t push their opinions on other people. You can believe what you want and I will believe what I want. However, I do agree here that Bethany is an amazing person and inspiring to anyone no matter what their religion.

      I dare you to make this comment. Our God, the one and only is NOT FICTIONAL!!! He was with her when he kept her alive, and through her we can all be inspired to know that good does come from bad things. I pray that you can find God.

    whether or not YOU believe is irrelevant she does and that is all that matters and she believes it has been a test for her than that is her right I do not believe in what she believes at all not even a little but I RESPECT that she does and she does not try to force it on other people, she has her faith and that is wat matters. I do not believe in it but i respect her for hers she is a lovely young woman and deserves our respect for her courage and her will and heart religious views aside

    She can thank her lucky stars that the shark wasnt really that hungary! Half an arm is better then eating her period. I dont think this deserves a MOVIE! She isnt the first person to have this happen to her! It happens everyday! Stay out of the water where sharks roam! You venture out into their waters you deserve whatever happens! Man or Woman… Boy or Girl…

    To DM, Yeah, how lucky to “only” lose an arm.(Hungary is a country BTW- learn to spell) Your comments are beyond ignorant.Compared to all the senseless movies out, this is not only an inspirational and gripping story, it also has beautiful scenery. And some of us don’t even mind her talking about her faith, even when producers want to downplay it. No matter how it does at the box office,it’s a great story and Bethany is an amazing woman. She is using her celebrity in positive ways helping and encouraging people all over the world. GO BETHANY!
