Gwyneth Paltrow Explains Macrobiotic Diet

Monday, April 18, 2011

Gwyneth PaltrowGWYNETH Paltrow embarked on her strict macrobiotic diet in an attempt to cure her dying father.

The actress — who raises two children with Coldplay rocker Chris Martin — hoped her rigid eating plan would help film director dad Bruce Paltrow after he was diagnosed with throat cancer, .

“It’s obviously ridiculous, but I didn’t want him to die and the doctors said he had to be healthier,” Gwyneth said.

“So I started to read about how powerful the body can be if you do not poison it with processed food and white sugar — there are cases that show that sometimes people can heal themselves.”

Paltrow recently admitted the hardest part of her body to keep looking good is her butt.

The Country Strong star works out almost every day to stay in shape, and when she first started getting serious about exercise and healthy eating her trainer Tracy Anderson told she needed to change her “square” derriere.

“My butt! My butt, butt, butt,” Gwyneth said. “When Tracy met me, she said that I had a long, square butt that she was going to redesign, and I was like, ‘Yeah? Good luck.’ The amazing thing is, she was right! And it’s still changing!”

I’ve heard a lot about this diet. It does take a lot of work to stay healthy.

my girlfriend and my mom both had cancer and used macrobiotics from the Kushi Institute to completely heal from it. I thought it would be really boring and bad tasting, but was surprised to find out how tasty and you have lots of choices of food. Now I have lost 80lbs on it and am working on 15lbs more. I read that Gwyneth and Madonna both ate this way and love the way they look…so I am trying too.
