WILLOW SMITH: WHITE HOUSE EASTER FOR SINGER WILLOW SMITH

Thursday, April 21, 2011

Willow SmithWILLOW Smith is going to Washington!

The Whip My Hair singer will perform at the White House on Monday, April 25.

Smith, 10, has been invited by President and Mrs. Obama to sing at the 133rd Annual White House Easter Egg Roll in front of the 30,000 invited guests.

The traditional event, held on the South Lawn, is the largest public event held at the President’s home.

Smith recently admitted she doesn’t get to go to school because of her pop career.

“I never really get to go to school because I am always on tour, or with my father,” she said.

“There is a tutor most of the time, but usually I am working so I never get to do the lessons. The worst thing about maths is all the kids are ahead of me because they go to school.”[imagebrowser id=973]

I am so tired of hearing about this semi-talented child who would be whipping her hair back and forth in her bedroom in front of a mirror if her father wasn’t Will Smith. With all the attention I’ve seen paid to the fact that she is not getting an education why is the President having her preform at the White House? Every speech he gives he speaks to the importance of education, but he doesn’t care if this childs is being neglected for this passing fame. Fame is fleeting an education is forever and so are the impressions the great teachers can leave on us.

This is so true, it’s amazing what you can accomplish if your mommy and daddy are stars. Willow Smith has no talent but is being pushed by her fame hungry parents. She will be another one that ends up like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. I wonder if this kid knows anything education or the importance of it. I guess it doesn’t matter. Education is for people who has true values and want their kids to aspire for better things like making a difference for the better of the world. Her brother got the good looks and she got stuck with her daddy’s masculine features and big ears.

I only have a few things to say. we are talking about will 7 jada child. there is no way they will let there child go trough life without a good education.u can rest asure, that she has one of the best tooters. and u all should know this mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

    • mandy

Either you’re a very funny satirist or a genuine moron. I will not pretend to know for sure.

  • lisa

    the 7 should be a &

    • Betty

You must be an African American to say such a thing!!

      • kara

        that’s racist

      • kara

        im african american

      • demmy

so what is wrong with being an african american? or are you a racist?

  • Willow

She does go to school and if you hear her in an interview she is a very smart well spoken girl. It’s a shame that we have so much jealousy towards a girl who is simply living her dream and is doing a damn good job of it. I happen to be a huge fan of hers but I hear a lot of adults making comments not of concern for her education or well being but out of nothing more than jealousy of a child and that’s truly a crying shame.

    • http://gmail Janet Dorwish

Where exactly does she go to school? She is touring with Justin Bieber in May, so when exactly does she go to school. Jada and Will are fame hungry parents who couldn’t wait to push their kids into the spot light. Willow Smith has no talent and the only reason she is in the news is because her parents bought her a spot. Well her parents are not exactly great role models so i don’t expect any better. This has nothing to do with jealousy, these are the people who are in the spotlight where millions of kids try to be like them. Kids like Willow is what’s wrong with our society. They grow up to be the Lindsay Lohan’s of the world. No wonder we rank so low on the education list. What dream is she living, she is nine years old for God’s sake. Where is her childhood?

      • demmy

How do you define talent? Have you not noticed that it is the fans that dictates how far a star goes? If this wonderful kid does to have “talent” why is she getting the votes? You should also know that all rich people make ladders for thier kids to climb, be it in business or entartainment. So will and Jada are not doing anything out of the ordinary. Will Prince Williams be where he is if he is not a prince? and by the way Britain is spending about 163 pounds (According to skynews) to buy soveniurs for the guests coming for wedding. Can this happen if he is not related to the queen?. Please leave this girl alone.

      • demmy

Sorry imean 163 milliom pounds there

  • Will Smith

First of all…the Obamas only like black folks. Why else do you think they invited Tyler Perry and his super black crap movie to the “former” White House.
Secondly, my daughter has not talent. I pay for everything in her life as well as my son. If it wasn’t for my money she would giving h-jobs in West Philly for a nickel while my son acts a coke mule.
And lastly, my whore wife if in charge of the exploitations why I kiss hollywoods ass. So to all those Willow fans…your idiots. My daughter will be hanging with Paris Hilton doing upskirt photos and porn in a few year.

    • kk g

Who cares about this kid and where she’s going? She probably runs her parents, not the other way around.

    • kara

y talk about ur own kids like that even if joking

  • Betty

Willow is a poor example to be an honored guest at the White House. I think the President has made a very poor judgement on the appropriateness of her involvement in the Easter Egg Hunt. Her music is disturbing and she apprears to be a very spoiled and undiciplined child. Shame on Jada and Will! Shame on President Obama!!

    • demmy

      I smell jealousy here

  • mandy

@ lisa If you really think that fame and fortune buy you an education then you are foolish. They have had money for her whole life and here she is 10 years old and behind all of her friends in her education and @ “Willow” she herself says she doesnt go to school and has a tutor on set but doesnt do her lessons because shes working. Such a shame that her wealthy parents do not prize her education OVER her (and their own) celebrity.

  • kara

stop being haters all of u! i mght be 11 years old but im an honer student who smart enough to judge all of you.how dareany of you judge a 10 year old with so much hate, your terrible people.say what u want but she’s just ling her dream, not being pushed in it by her parents.watch what u say about people, even if they’re stars!please excuse my bad grammar.

  • Peggy

Unbelievable! This childs only talent is being the daughter of Will Smith. The first time I saw her video “Whip My Hair”, I cracked up laughing. I thought it was some type of a comical take off on another video. Too many talented children in the US today that could be performing at White House – not this Chick! And I couldn’t believe the outfits that she shows up in. What are her parents thinking?

  • demmy

All these bitchiness (permit my English)about a 10 year old? Who is afraid of Willow? If talent is by education, how many of your so called stars will pass? You guys are being so critical and the girl is making cool money at her age. Ride on Willow Smith !!!!

  • Whatever

Why is this such a big deal? This is a popular kid star. Kids live in the White House. It’s all for the kids as long as they are happy it shouldn’t matter who performs!
As far as all the haters I don’t know who you are but it is not her fault she was born in a rich family and some of this anger is racially motivated. If it was Hanna Montana, Selena Gomez, or Justin Beaver performing there wouldn’t be all these low blows about their parents, what they look like, how talented they are, or their educational level. Also, it is the Smith’s buisiness of how they raise their children. There are worst parents out here believe me! Kids are getting molested, abused, beat, starved, ignored, and put up for adoption! I am so sorry that so many people are mad at a child who was born into a rich family…Let me play a sad song on my left index finger viola and on my right index finger violin… YES I AM AFRICAN-AMERICAN.

    • demmy

      I feel you

  • http://showbizspy Ms. Rose

First of all, I’m sure that President & First Lady Obama invited Willow Smith to the Easter Egg hunt because, they, after all have two young daughters. Willow’s performing is for their benefit. They must be fans of the girl. This IS an Easter Egg hunt, mainly geared for CHILDREN (the adults are just visitors. Secondly, get off of the “black” thing because it’s old and it’s tired. When President Obama was inaugurated, he had The Jonas Brothers for entertainment as well, (I guess they have no talent also, huh?)This is a ten year old KID, and how her parents raise her is really none of anyone’s business. Again, we’re talking about an Easter Egg hunt, plain and simple. Let it rest.

  • XANDY

Kids are home schooled for a reason and with that said they can catch up. To many haters in the world. Are you jealous of a child and what her mother and father can do for her. Education is key, but Will and Jada are handling theirs. I am happy to see them keep it in the family, your never to young. I myself am homeschooling my kids and they love it and they will soon be releasing an album. We no matter what color should encourage our children to do what good and positive. What’s wrong with you people Willow has a great singing voice and what if it were your child, you wouldn’t be saying all this negative stuff. Live and let live. She has a life time of learning ahead of her. I hope Willow doesn’t read read this stuff your saying. Don’t bring her down because your jealous. That’s all for now.

  • XANDY

    Well said Ms. Rose

  • http://ShowbizSpy PollyPoodle

Well, the Kenyan is getting his reelection campaign off to a good start using this little beauty. Wonder if Will Smith has been invited, too. Uh, probably Will has been invited but will not be asked to speak as he has no grammatical ability to speak of, pardon the pun. If Willow and her brother, Jaden, do have good tutors who work hard to help these kids get a good basic education, then kudos to the parents.

  • Will Smith

Haters…yes my daughter is talentless. Whip my hair made me laught so hard I pissed my pants. And don’t even start about my son, dopey looking tard. But Willow has no respect for anyone or anything. She demands getting what she wants and when she wants it. She is just as evil as her racist mother. So all of you who are saying that people are jealous, your fools. People are smart to know a spoiled little brat when the see it. So in closing my daughter is a spoiled little bitch and as long as my money is green I will keep buying her gigs with her crap songs.

  • Norman Tolbert

I’ve heard both Willow and her brother Jaden in interviews on the internet. Without any doubt they are both very intelligent and articulate, speaking with excellent grammar, and with an excellent command of the English language. This says tons about their parents! That Willow would downplay her ability on the subject of math is obviously a matter of modesty on her part, and the obvious high standard she sets for herself. Moreover, what percentage of adult Americans, of any race, speak English with such good grammar, good articulation, and with such a wide range of vocabulary properly applied, as does Willow Smith? It is obvious that Willow and Jaden have the best tutors that their parents can engage. Most of you jealous adults, with your jealous tongues wagging, can hardly write a proper English letter. Check out your spelling, too. Yet some of you have the temerity to criticize Willow’s “lack” of education!!! And your criticism of President Obama inviting Willow to sing for the Easter-egg hunt, an event for children, is just sick, tired, and tells quite a lot about you!!!

And yes, I’m an African American.
