Jim Carrey Almost Became a Vet, Turned off by Euthanasia

JIM Carrey is an animal lover!
The actor, 49, says as a kid he had set his heart on being a vet before the less cuddly side of the business put him off.
“I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was a kid,” explains Jim. “But then I found out about the whole euthanasia thing and I said, ‘Can’t commit to that, sorry!’ It was my father who then put me onto comedy and performing.
“I would look at my father and how every time we had people over he would stand in the middle of the room, and people were just astounded at his creativity and his animation when he told a story. I just went, ‘Wow!’ There was no choice for me. It was like, ‘That’s how I’m gonna get on in the world! I want to be that guy.’”
