Jim Carrey Doubts He’ll Find Life Partner

Jim Carrey doesn’t know if he’ll ever find someone to spend the rest of his life with.

The Mr. Popper’s Penguins actor — who split from girlfriend of five years Jenny McCarthy in 2010 — admitted after having had to “erase” a number of former flames from his life, he doesn’t know if he will ever commit to another person fully.

“I’ve been erased and I know what it’s like to erase someone. You know the feeling when you loved somebody and it ends and you feel as if they’ve moved on or maybe even none of it ever mattered? It’s a terrible feeling,” he said.

“But everything in my life comes to me for a reason, to step me up to another level and to make me learn. Every single relationship has brought me a little bit closer to realizing what I want and what I don’t want, and teaching me the value of love.

“I don’t know if I’ll ever actually find somebody I can hang with for the rest of my life.”

The 49-year-old star — who has battled with depression in the past -– explained he has on occasions veered into a “bad neighborhood” in his life.

“I veer off the road once in a while and take the off-ramp into a bad neighborhood and live there for a while, but it’s not usually very long,” he said.

“Everything starts to go wrong and you can only stay in that mode for a short time if you’re awake and sober and looking at the universe.”

    obviously jim has never been paralyzed in a serious car accident, gone through a messy divorce where the parent leaves the country with the kid involved, been accused of a serious crime he didn’t commit and going through hell trying to prove one’s innocence or other totally exhausting horrible events on a budget or without an attorney.
    it is easy to recover and move on from anything and make totally cute little positive statements if you have millions and can buy any girl, rent any woman you want and pretty much only work when you want to.

    i don’t hate the guy and the movies he has chosen are mostly good choices, but seriously, you can make positive statements like he did at the end of that article if you have millions and don’t punch an 8-5 clock everyday
    or deal with serious real life issues on a budget like 90% of the world actually does, his statements are so hollywood and not reality.

    well the title says he doubts he will find life partner
    , he means he doubts he will find one woman he can have sex with long term or love or commit to long term, and then made a sassy millionaire’s type of statement at the end of the article, “you can only stay in “bad mode” for a short time , if you are sober and get urself back on the road, things will be just fine or whatever…., that is what i am talking about, not the title

    he should’ve said “if you have millions and can technically leave the country and sit on a beach somewhere for the rest of your life…then you can come out of stop mode and on with ur life or stay positive after a break up or down mode”
