FUNNYMAN Steve Carell has launched an attack on Hollywood bosses on behalf of Anchorman fans everywhere.
The comedy actor and former Office star says he is stunned to hear Anchorman 2 is still not going ahead despite pressure from fans, himself and costars Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd.
“I’ve never done a sequel but there is one I would love to do, Anchorman 2 because I get asked about it all the time,” says Steve.
“I have spoken to Will and the director but I can’t believe it because there doesn’t seem to be an interest at studio level. It’s crazy because we all want to do it and people want to see it.
“I have never laughed as much as I did making that. I laughed until I cried every day and I would love to do another one.”
Steve recently admitted he doesn’t understand why people are interested in him because he thinks he is “ordinary”.
“I don’t know how other people perceive the lives of actors but mine is fairly ordinary,” he said.
“I go to work, I come home, I put my kids to bed. If I’m home in time for dinner, I have dinner and then it’s bedtime.”
