Hillary Clinton’s Mother Dies

HILLARY Clinton is mourning the death of her mother.
Dorothy Rodham died just after midnight Tuesday in Washington, D.C., according to a statement from the Clinton family. She was 92.Clinton announced she was canceling a trip to Istanbul and London Monday to stay with her ailing mother. No medical information was disclosed.
“Her story was a quintessentially American one, largely because she wrote it herself,” said a statement from the family.
“She overcame abandonment and hardship as a young girl to become the remarkable woman she was – a warm, generous and strong woman; an intellectual; a woman who told a great joke and always got the joke; an extraordinary friend and, most of all, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.”
The family said they will hold a private celebration of her life.
Clinton’s father, Hugh Rodham, died in 1993.
