JOELY Richardson has told of her excitement at getting to work with her screen legend mother, Vanessa Redgrave.

The British actresses play a young and elderly Queen Elizabeth I in Anonymous and relished the chance to work together at last.

“Mum playing the role of Elizabeth was a huge attraction,” says Joely, 45, of her 74-year-old mother.

“We both were really excited to play Elizabeth. It had sort of been on the cards for a while, but the night the offer came through we happened to be together in my house, we both were like, ‘Awwwww, isn’t this nice!”
