LIAM Neeson is glad Christmas is over — because it means he can avoid all those romcom fanatics.
The Unknown star has noticed an odd upturn of interest in his Love Actually role around Christmas time.
“We’ve just come out of the Christmas period when most people want to talk to me about Love Actually which seems to be an annual favorite now,” says Liam.
“We made it ten years ago but at Christmas time it gets shown again and people watch it religiously. I’ve had quite a few conversations with people about it. Usually it’s Star Wars or Batman they want to talk about.”
Liam recently admitted he is thinking about becoming a Muslim following a recent trip to Istanbul.
“The call to prayer happens five times a day, and for the first week, it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit, and it’s the most beautiful, beautiful thing,” he said.
“There are 4,000 mosques in the city. Some are just stunning, and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.
“I was reared a Catholic, but I think every day we ask ourselves, not consciously, what are we doing on this planet? What’s it all about?
“I’m constantly reading books on God or the absence of God and atheism.”
