Charlize Theron Not Bothered About Oscars Snub

CHARLIZE Theron isn’t bothered about her Oscar snub.

The South African star was expected to get a Best Actress nomination for her role in Young Adult but was surprisingly overlooked.

But Charlize insists her comedy role has landed her a far bigger prize.

“It’s so bizarre to look at this as something to be bummed about because I’ve gotten some of the best reviews in my career for this and people have really responded to me in this role,” she says.

“That to me is the greatest gift because usually the joke between me and my producing partner is that any script that mentions crying, depression or torture lands on my desk! So it was nice to do something different and for people to like it – that to me is like winning an Academy Award.”

Theron recently admitted she’s not entirely comfortable getting dolled up for award shows and premiers and often craves a very different look.

“I’m 50-50 on glamor stuff,” she said.

“I’d rather put on a pair of jeans, get on my Harley, and act like a guy!”
