Jennifer Hudson For Bodyguard Remake?

JENNIFER Hudson is in talks to star in a remake of Whitney Houston‘s hit movie The Bodyguard.

The 1992 movie which starred the late pop diva and Kevin Costner has been the subject of plans for an update for sometime but now Houston’s tragic death has given the project a new direction.

“The idea is to make The Bodyguard as a tribute to Whitney with her natural successor Jennifer Hudson in the lead role,” reveals a Hollywood insider

. “She showed at the Grammys that she can be as big a star as Whitney. She is the perfect choice for any remake.”

    oh please, she does not have a patch on Whitney. I do not watch Glee and the young lady sang way better then Jennifer Hudson could even think of doing. She is just not a very good singer.

    Sheilad, you cannot justifiably compare a pre-recorded studio version with a live performance, especially as the latter was so emotionally charged.  As for the “She is just not a very good singer” statement, that’s patently ridiculous. Even Whitney said Jennifer has one of the greatest voices of our time (see Behind the Music). You may not like her voice but that is different from her ability as a singer. I’m not keen on Mariah Carey’s voice but I also recognise she is one of the greatest living singers. More importantly, I don’t think they should remake the movie, as nobody will be able to sing the songs like Whitney.

    no jennifer hudson dont need to be the remake of the movie jordan sparks need to be it cause she have a voice like whiney not jennifer hads a deep voice so she do not need to be the remake of the bodyguard
