ALEX O’Loughlin has checked into rehab.

The actor — who currently appears on CBS’ Hawaii 5-0 as Lt. Commander Steve McGarrett — is seeking treatment to help manage his recovery from a recent shoulder injury.

“Alex is taking a short break from Hawaii Five-0 to receive supervised treatment for prescription pain medication due to [his injury],” said O’Loughlin’s rep.

“We respect and support Alex’s decision,” O’Loughlin’s production colleagues said in a statement. “Everyone at CBS Television Studios and Hawaii Five-0 wishes him well and we look forward to his return.”
