Adam Levine Glad He Experimented With Drugs

ADAM Levine doesn’t regret experimenting with drugs — because it provided him with a “valuable experience.”

The singer says his experiences taking magic mushrooms — a psychedelic, mind-altering drug — and smoking marijuana helped him to “understand” himself better.

“I definitely, firmly believe that the experience I had on mushrooms made me understand certain things about myself that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise,” he said.

“What I took away from that experience was valuable and beneficial to me. It really forced me to look at myself.

“It’s so corny to say but it’s true; you just get in touch with the wonderment you have as a kid that you tend to lose. Obviously if you abuse a drug like that you’ll never come back and end up as a f***ing psychotic maniac.

“It’s hard for me, as someone who does speak publicly about things, I’m not saying, you should do drugs. I hope that’s clear.

“I smoked a lot of pot when I was younger. There is a place in this world for a little weed every once in a while.

“I’ve written songs after smoking a joint and it was good. More often than not its absolute garbage.”

Adam recently insisted he is unashamed of his reputation as a ladies’ man.

“I’ve always felt a little misrepresented in the world,” he said.

“I felt like people only knew me as a singer who dated pretty girls; a little bit of a bimbo. Maybe I was kind of a bimbo.

“I was the music dude that was naked all the time with the girls, and that’s fine, no problem with that.

“But I wanted to create a little balance.”
